okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

SOURCE: 87 f250 drained brand new battery

I would first have the alternator checked by an auto electrician to ensure it is working correctly and is providing the correct volume of current. It may be faulty and when driving you will be drawing battery power instead of power from the alternator to run the electrics. This will drain the battery.

Alternators do not last forever and if you are still running the original unit it is likely to be on it's last legs and you will need a replacement unit.

Ford 2000 f250 HD crew cab 8 cylinder intermitten starting every day or so

The engines run very lean for fuel efficiency. Although a "cold start sequence" gives the impression of freezing temperatures, the operating range is much higher. The water temperature sensor (some have 2) may be staying too warm for the reset. You may need to change the sensor. Then the fuel mix will be richer and the engine will start.

Hello, I live in Minnesota and during the winter, I warm my car for about 10-15 minutes before I drive it, and then drive. After driving to my destination, I turn off the engine. If try to turn on again,...

hello fellow Minnesotian... I would start by having battery cables checked. Reason; when cold they contract and make good contact, after they warm up they expand a little and loosen up just enough to lose contact surface. Clean them both at battery and lower contact points. Especially lower points, they're exposed to grease, road grime and snow, slush & road salt.

We think it is the diesel injection pump but not sure

Sounds like not all the glow plugs are working. It should run fairly smooth on a cold start if all of the glow plugs are working..Also you shouldn't drive off on a cold start with a diesel,Its really hard on the motors..At least give them 10 to 15 min on a cold start..The oil in them is a really thick oil and when there drove on a cold start theres no oil lubricating the internal parts and will cause the motor to seize up..You may already no this and dont mean you drive it as soon as you start it i just wanted to let you know..When you get alot of white smoke it could be two things,Theres water in the fuel which will make it not have much power die and smoke..But if it runs fine when its warm theres some bad glow plugs...Hope this helps you and have a great day

The engine will shut down and will start again up to 15 min. later every thing will function the anti theft light will blink and the starter will turn the engine over. never know when it will do it. I...

Seems heat related so first thing to change would be the coolant sensor in the thermostat housing. This tells the ECU whether the engine is hot or cold. If faulty after 10 - 15 minutes it could over fuel and cut the engine not allowing it to start until it has cooled back down.

F250 spins over well will not start

Sounds like a faulty crank sensor. Can also be caused by a faulty cam sensor.

1987 CHEVY CORVETTE CUTS OFF SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING

Could be just about anything, but given that I had the same symptoms that turned out to the fuel pump, I would check that if you haven't already. Mine would run fine for a while, particularly when it was cold, and tested fine at the shop, but after a while under load, it turned out the pressure would suddenly drop to about 15 pounds. A real pain to diagnose, since when it was in the shop it wasn't under load, so it tested OK.

Trying disconnecting the battery again this time for 10 to 15 minutes. Then reconnect and see if it clears the problem.
