Removal;
Rotate the engine until the No. 1 piston is on top dead center of its compression stroke.Remove The distributor cap and then mark where the rotor is pointing on the side of the distributor with some white out or anything that you might be able to see when replacing the distributor back into position. Disconnect the TFI module by pressing the catch and pulling on it.Loosen and remove the distributor hold-down bolt.The distributor should slide straight out. It is also necessary to remove the distributor to change the TFI module if you had to do this in a separate operation.

Install:
Rotate the distributor shaft so the rotor points toward the mark on the distributor housing that you made previously.Install the distributor hold-down bolt tighten slightly. Recheck the initial timing after installing the distributor cap. Tighten the hold-down bolt and recheck the timing. Adjust again if necessary.Thank you for your questions

Check that with the front left (as you face it) piston is at TDC, the distributor's rotor (under the cap) points to the #1 spark plug tower location.

Also, check that all wire connections are secure and not shorted/intermittent, etc.

Lastly, check that wires are installed in the correct firing order.

1995 mustang convertable, when key is off no power to dome lights, clock, powerseat and door locks, remotes don't work. the only thing that has power is the trunk switch.

Locate your converabilbe relay. It's probably spent. It's a $10 fix go to locale parts place o'reilly's, auto-zone, etc . Do you have a Manual for your 93 Mustang? I have a hardtop 87 gt and might be able to locate the relay location if you're unable to yourself. Hope this helps.

93 mustang dies no apparent reason

Not sure if you fixed your stall issues but....have you looked at the pip signal on your fox mustang? My 1987 mustang gt was doing the same thing it got to the point where the car failed to start. It was the pip sensor located in the distributor. I removed the distributor and took out the pip sensor replaced it with a oem replacement re-timed the car its ran great since. I also went to the boneyard and grabbed a few tfi and installed one on my distributor most mechanics suggest you do this when you replace the pip sensor. Hope this helps someone dealing with this issue on there 87-95 mustang gt. Took me about 45 minutes

I have a 93GT and the power windows,power seat and locks are not working. I changend the fuses.

93 gt's dont have fuses for these, they have circuit breakers. I had the same problem with my 93 Gt it ended up being a faulty alarm brain that had screwed everything up, I swapped out the alarm and it was fine after that.
