Where can I buy a breather hose for my VW Golf 1.4 petrol. It comes from the rocker cover and goes behind the engine. It comes with a socket that allows a kind of switch to be fixed.Mine has cracked with time. If you can make me have the original Part number or a shop where I could buy it online would be definitely fine. Thanks

2005 Dodge Dakota v6 truck. Passenger side valve cover what needs to be removed to get to valve cover please?

v6 engine not told,
let me guess that.
ok easy v6 means 3.7 L (226 cu in) magnum v6

I have 3.7L in my jeep.
mine is 2010
the service manual covers all this, buy it or rent it?

not told which bank needs offing/ left or right.
well all engine work here, is top down, and what you see in the way must come off
but not told the goal, ??remove the valve cover, you never said that.
just disconnect or remove to get to it( just touch the cover that?)
just use a hand stethoscope.(held to all places there)???????????

the service manual , this page, called rockers covers.
asks LEFT or RIGHT first ,so I toss the coin and land on left drivers side
USA left, is LHD driver. side

  1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
  2. Remove the resonator assembly and air inlet hose.
  3. Disconnect injector connectors and unclip the injector harness.
  4. Route injector harness in front of valve cover.
  5. Disconnect the left side breather tube and remove the breather tube.
  6. Remove the valve cover mounting bolts.
  7. Remove valve cover and gasket.

now right.(called in USA LHD , passenger side)
RIGHT SIDE

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly, resonator assembly and air inlet hose.
  3. Drain cooling system, below the level of the heater hoses.
  4. Remove accessory drive belt.
  5. Remove air conditioning compressor retaining bolts and move compressor to the left.(tie it back gently) no hoses OFF !!!
  6. Remove heater hoses.
  7. Disconnect injector and ignition coil connectors.
  8. Disconnect and remove positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose.
  9. Remove oil fill tube.
  10. Unclip injector and ignition coil harness and move away from valve cover.
  11. Remove right rear breather tube and filter assembly.
  12. Remove valve cover retaining bolts.
  13. Remove valve cover and gasket.

this answer is for only removal
to just touch it , is between step 1 and what ever it takes to do you you never told yet.

or use youtube, how to remove cylinder heads, so see all steps
to where you want to be. (less sure)

Will a 2 litre vw Golf 2011 diesel fit a 1.6 diesel 2011 Golf

I wouldn't suggest it. It wouldn't be just an engine swap that you unplug and unbolt and and then reverse...thats not to say it can't be done with a lot of thinking and work and reprogramming that's usually for vw experts...your better off to keep looking at other wreckers for the exact motor

How to replace temperature sensor in vW golf citi 1.4i 2006

I am driving VW Citi golf sport 1.4i,every morning whn is cold my car couldn't start, after many attempts it would and when I try to accelerate it will choke. After buying the temperature sensor my problem was solved. the mechanics advised me to buy petrol filter and petrol gauge regulator and a petrol pump, thanks I didn't buy them. Only a temperature sensor made my car a comfortable drive.

Peugeot 106

have a coolant pressure test done and if you are not holding pressure there is a possibility of a leak in the housing behind the water pump
dew and gunk in the breather are indicators of water in the oil

Where to add oil to a Ford Pinto?

If I remember right, there is a breather on top the rocker cover (very top of the motor). It may have a hose coming from it to the air cleaner assembly (may depend on year and emissions if it has a hose or not). That breather twists out of the rocker cover and you pour the oil inside the cover.
Oil goes in the rocker cover and it drains down into the oil pan.

Hi there was smoke coming from my exhaust and the engine was on fire abit there was a smell like burning oil thanxs james

ask a local mechanic to have a look as i suspect a oil leak onto the engine but i cannot be more specific without having the bonnet up and a good look ,could be anything from a loose breather pipe to rocker cover gasket ,We do have these vehicles here in spain but mainly diesels although the odd petrol one gets brought here and these have a toyota engine i think ,remember they are all built on the same assembly line here so a ford /fiat/citreon/seat/VW and whatever else all use the same parts well mostly anyway .And nearly all diesel manual variants unless its an import from the states but we dont get many of these strangly beautful machines with leather interiors ,big V6 petrol engines with auto boxes with lots of knobs and bells ,cant afford the petrol at about nearly 6 dollars a gallon

I have to take off the thermostat on my vw 2000 golf.

can say the 2003 APK 2.0L engines thermostat is located almost vertically behind the alternator, for the job you'll need sockets 10mm and the elbow joint extension for the lower bolt on the thermostat housing. the jobs a little fiddly but made easy with the elbow joint.
care is to be taken when retentioning the plastic thermo housing as it easly breaks and a replacement isnt cheap So just use common sense when re-tightening
others report using the TDI thermostat as its cheaper
