There is no "switch" the passenger airbag (referred to as a smart airbag system) is controlled by a weight sensing sensor in the seat cushion, the airbag is disabled anytime that something less than about 50 pounds is placed on the seat cushion. If you put items on the seat under that weight like a bag of groceries for instance it can confuse the system and turn off the passenger airbag. What you need to do now is contact your local dealer and make an appt. to have the system scanned to see what the problem is that is keeping the passenger side airbag disabled. Good Luck.

I WOULD NEED TO RESEARCH THE ACCENT A LITTLE MORE BUT MOST NEWER VEHICLES NOW HAVE A WEIGHT ACTIVATED SWITCH IN THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT TO PROVIDE UNWANTED DEPLOYMENT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WHEN NO ONE WAS SITTING IN IT USUALLY AROUND SEVENTY POUNDS TO ACTIVATE OTHERWORDS YOU DO NOT WANT TO DISABLE DUE TO LIABILTY ISSUES

If it says "airbag" on the stering wheel AND on the dash in front of the passenger,then it has a passengers side airbag.
Children are much safer in the back seat in the event of a collision.

The passenger side airbag is a lot easier then driver side. Take the glove box out and you will see two 10mm bolts holding it in place. When you open the passenger side front door, remove the panel on the side of the dash and you will see yellow connectors.The 1 closest to the front is attached to the air bag, it is clipped into the frame. Just pull it loose and take it out and your done. For the Driver side, it takes a skinny T27 to remove the two star bolts, then just disconnect the horn red clip and ground and install new airbag. The module is located under the passenger seat, underneath the carpet. Kinda stupid but thats where its at. You also need to replace the front impact sensor located behind the grille on the back side of the metal bar to each side. Follow the hood latch down. Also just to make sure, you know to disconnect the battery before you do all this. You don't want new airbags to accidentally deploy.

You can call the parts dept. of your hyundai dealer. Have your VIN# ready let them know you need a price on the pressure sensor that is inside the passenger seat. If they ask, let them know what it is for. which is to turn on and turn off the passenger air-bag. Remember to stick to the subject, I wouldn't gossip to them about what the service dept. said. through this you will be more informed, good luck.

My 1994 F-150 doesn't have a passenger side airbag, and if the 1995 Ranger does have passenger airbags, it would not have a way to disable the passenger airbag until later models (after a bunch of kids got hurt by the airbags deploying). If I recall correctly that wasn't added until somewhere between 1999 and 2001.
