Answered

My 2001 Mustang Convertible hesitates on starting up or when going up inclines. Just yesterday it did it just while I was driving. Could this be the fuel pump?

It COULD be....but it could be other things too. Have you changed the fuel filter?

In regard to the fuel pump...does it only do it at startup or on inclines? How about under heavy acceleration? You can put a gauge on the fuel rail to check pressure coming from the fuel pump. There's a Schroeder valve on the front passenger side of the car at the end of the fuel rail to hook onto. Good place to start...

I've changed the fuel pump on my '01 GT convertible..not a real difficult task, but not much fun either. I recommend you join us on Modded Mustang Forums....(www.moddedmustangs.com/forums/) LOTS of good info and help there. Good luck!

2001 mustang fuse box diagram
I have a 2001 convertible mustang and my dash light were my gas gauge is and my speedometer are that light is out and I was wondering how I go about replacing it? Is it a fuse or a bulb? 2005 Ford mustang convertible V6eng, speedometer going full scale buries itself can be zeroed by restarting car several times, then eventually buries itself again then yesterday started going back to zero...
check for water damage on the computer. it sound like a mustang i fixed a few months ago. the customer broke the windshield and the body control computer got wet. so the car was cranking itself or turning lights on when raining until running battery out of charge. he could not drive vehicle on rainy days until 2 or 3 days later. this car wasn t convertible but since u said they change the winshield i could be leaking water.

My 2001 Ford Mustang would not start this morning. The battery is good but when I turn the key their is just a click sound by the starter motor. It is in a garage but the weather is rainy outside.

Convertible top won't go back up, can you help?
IT is probably a fuse. Does it work at all? my mustang had a busted cylinder and only 1 side would go up. If it doesnt work at all then check your fuses. With no manual you will have to use a flashlight and shine on them and see if one is blown. IF they all look good then I would go buy a testlight for about $10 and manually check the fuses for power. It oculd be the motor, however that will cost you several hundred dollars and that is if you install it yourself.

Mustang 2001 convertible top goes up but not down.
Sounds like the switch is bad. Also check the relays. You might have one for up and one for down.
