SOURCE: Propane test on eng.

Your mechanic did a good test by externally adding more fuel to the engine. The fact that the addition of the extra fuel to the engine changed the engines behavior would suggest he is on the right track.

SOURCE: check eng light on low egr flow replace the egr

A very common issue that can cause this code is the EGR valve but most commonly the DPFE Sensor differential pressure feedback egr. For the evap code would make sure no lines may have been disconnected while replacing the egr valve. It is possible the the evap code may be a separate issue.

SOURCE: check engine light on, traction

there is a lot of questions here so i will start with the codes P0028 & P0026 both are verable valve timing codes first we should talk about how this system works, the engine is equiped with veriable valve lift units that when oil is pushed into the units they push on the camshaft, basicaly they roll the shafts in there saddles witch changes the lift and duration of the camshaft this is done to maxamise the performance of the engine, basickly alowes the engine to be tuned down at low RPM and load but when there is a demand for power the cames are advanced to give the engine more power. when we see these codes the mose common problem is the engine has not been serviced reguarly and their is gunk built up in the oil passages to the veriable valve units, most of the time changing the oil and adding some addative like marvel mistery oil will fix the problem, if not then you may have to replace the veriable valve lift units.

the skip under load might be the verable valve units advanceing one cam and not the other, this would cause a surge and maybe an engine miss fire, but i would change the spark plugs as will as the oil ( it never hurts to replace the plugs ) but make sure to use what the factory used don't chepen it up spend the few extra dollers to get the right plugs.

the check engine light is the verable valve units.

now the flashing cruse and the TCL these are most likely related, and you should be able to get a code from the BCM that will leed you down the right path, but best guess is a speed sensor is not working, all 4 wheel have to be within 1% of each other or the cruse will not work, and the TC wont work and probly the ABS.

its a lot of info but i hope this helps.

Fault code P0021

Hi there:P0021 - "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 2)

A code P0021 refers to the VVT (variable valve timing) or VCT (variable camshaft timing) components and the car's PCM (powertrain control module, also called an ECM). That consists of a few different components but the P0021 DTC specifically refers to the camshaft (cam) timing. In this case, if the cam timing is above a set limit (over-advanced), the engine light will be illluminated and the code will be set. The "A" camshaft is either the intake, left, or front camshaft. A P0021 engine code is basically the same as a P0011 code, except this is for Bank 2, not Bank 1.

Most likely a P0021 DTC will result in one of the following: hard starting, poor idle, and/or stalling. There are potentially other symptoms as well. Of course, when trouble codes are set, the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp, a.k.a. the check engine light) illuminates.

A P0021 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:Incorrect camshaft timingWiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid systemContinuous oil flow to VCT piston chamberFailed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

Possible Solutions:This DTC code is a result of a mechanical fault of the VCT unit or related components, so there is no need for electrical diagnosis. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit. Notes: Dealer techs have advanced tools and the ability to follow detailed troubleshooting steps, including the ability to test components using a scan tool.To reset the fuel pump, press the button on the switch. The switch is located immediately below the hole in the trunk side trim.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

MAKE SURE THE ENGINE OIL IS CLEAN AND CHANGED AT PROPER INTERVALS
P0011 NISSAN - Intake Valve Timing Control Performance Bank 1

Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible engine lack/loss of power
- Posssible engine rough idle
Possible causes - Harness or connectors
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve circuit is open or shorted
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve may be faulty
- Crankshaft position sensor (POS) may be faulty
- Camshaft position sensor
Tech notes Since the Intake valve timing control solenoid valve uses oil flow to control timing, dirty oil can cause the valve to stuck open or close. Before replacing the valve, change engine oil and filter and reset engine code. When is the code detected? When there is a gap between angle of target and phase-control angle degree, the valve will stop working and the ECM will trigger the P0011 code. P0011 NISSAN Description This mechanism hydraulically controls cam phases continuously with the fixed operating angle of the intake valve.

The ECM receives signals such as crankshaft position, camshaft position, engine speed, and engine coolant temperature. Then, the ECM sends ON/OFF pulse duty signals to the intake valve timing control solenoid valve depending on driving status. This makes it possible to control the shut/open timing of the intake valve to increase engine torque in low/mid speed range and output in high-speed range.

The intake valve timing control solenoid valve changes the oil amount and direction of flow through intake valve timing control unit or stops oil flow. The longer pulse width advances valve angle. The shorter pulse width retards valve angle. When ON and OFF pulse widths become equal, the solenoid valve stops oil pressure flow to fix the intake valve angle at the control position.

I got a code 1537 and 1538 showing on my obd2 reader it says intake runner manifold control stuck open in bank 1 and bank 2 i replaced both and still have the same problem truck has a bad miss in the...

I'm assuming you have the 4.2l v6. If this is the case, there are two intake runners per cylinder, one long (torque) one short (horsepower), default setting for these would be long runners or closed.
There is a valve so to speak inside the intake manifold operated by a motor that switches to the short runners when the RPM"s reach a preset point. However there has been a problem with this design, not only with the 4.2's, but the 2.5's and 3.8's and every other motor that uses this design.
The motors go bad, or the valve gets carboned up and no longer moves. If you have a 4.2 start there, if not I'm not sure what is wrong.
Good luck and hope this helps
