2001 Ford Expedition Problem occurs at

2001 Ford Expedition Problem occurs at approximately 70 mph. Whenever I ease off the accelerator the vehicle jumps as if something shut down. This does not occur if I take my foot completely off the accelerator and allow the vechile to slow down on its own. I have had the transmission looked at and they indicate no problem. I have had Ford look at the vehicle and they cannot determine problem. This problem is easily recreated.

Did they check the TPS Sensor or the (TACM)
throttle actuator motor on the throttle body?

They may have to actually drive the vehicle with a scanner
on it & come back & look at data

I think a local shop will be better at that than a dealer

Hi gentlemen , would you please help me for

This issue usually occurs when the vehicle is between 60 - 70 mph. There is no official solution to this issue, it should have been a Ford recall, as this fault is dangerous.

There is a known malfunction in the fly by wire system that is suspected to be the cause of this system failure. The throttle body assembly gets replaced when this occurs as a possible solution to the problem. Check the connections on the 2 tps sensors first before assuming the replacement is necessary.

I have a 2005 ford expedition and this morning while I was accelerating onto the interstate it started to sputter or **** between 60 and 70 mph. It stopped once I hit 70 mph but then my yellow engine...

the flashing light means you have a miss fire in the engine. You probably have a coil bad. Each cylinder has its own coil. My suggestion would be to go to a parts store and let them scan to tell you which cylinder, then change the coil. If thats not it then you have a bad injector

Stuck transmission no acceleration over 35mph and no reverse at a

It sounds like the problem occurs when the transmission changes into second gear. It could be the modulator valve or the clutches in the transmission may have seen their better days. Pull the transmission dip stick out. Look at the color of the fluid. It should be bright pink. If it is brown and has a burnt odor the transmission is most likely in need of being rebuilt.

if your vehicle slows from 70 downto 60 with no change in revs ,then the transmission is slipping .. imust say i dont believe that the speed drops back without the revs dropping down too, i am not calling you a liar ,i`m saying you are not making accurate observations , and without those we are just guessing .

2006 Expedition Limited, misses while driving.

I have a 2006 expedition with 136,000 miles and have had the transmission checked and replaced the coil wires but it still misses at 40-50 MPH and at 70 mph does the same sound. If you accelerate and back off the go again it sounds like the transmission is clunking but the transmission guy said it wasn't the transmission. HELP!!!

My was doing the same thing, it was an EGR valve and a misfire on the #2 cylinder which required a new spark plug and a coil pack
