I have an 05 ford escape... has never been in a wreck or any run in at all. the seat belt buckle for some reason wont latch and im not sure if somehow the pretensioner was activated or not. im guessing not because i never had to cut the seat belt its self. to my knowledge the seat belt is supposed to be replaced by the manufacturer free of charge by mandate. is this correct? i could understand if the vehicle had been wrecked but for it to just not be able to latch any longer i feel with it being a safety issue ford should stand behind that particular part. please help and thank you in advance

Unless there is a recall on the seat belt Ford is not going to replace a 12 year old seat belt free of charge. I doubt that the part is even available from Ford anymore unless that particular part is still used on a newer vehicle.

SOURCE: rotor's warped

Rotors are a part of the disc brake braking system, and they warp due to a number of things. And the amount they warp ranges from very little, to quite a bit, so much so that you can feel the warpage in the brake pedal when you stop.

They can cost from $20.00 to $150.00 per rotor, depending on the vehicle. They can be turned at the auto repair shop for about $10.00 per rotor. There is 1 rotor per wheel. Turning them gives you a new rotor for all intents and purposes, but once turned, depending on how much was turned off, they cannot be turned again. So a badly warped rotor might can be turned, or might be too warped to be turned. A slightly warped rotor might can be turned again.

SOURCE: airbag light goes off when passanger seat in use, & on when not

even with exchanging the sensor the calibration could be off. without pulling codes from the airbag system it would be hard to guess for sure but id say you need to have the dealership do a recalibration on the seat

SOURCE: How do I remove a wrecked front fender assy/quarter panel?

The front fenders are connected to the A pillar above the the top hinge, at the bottom of the rocker panel seam, three bolts pass through the hood hinge support in the middle of the fender, four bolts on the radiator support, three vertical bolts on the top radiator brace, and one bolt at the rear of the wheelhouse to the cab body. Yes, the wheelhouse is spot welded to the fender and must be removed with it. Remove all the bolts listed as well as the bolts retaining the splash shield. The splash shield is a plastic liner connected to both the wheelhouse and the fender. Remove the headlight/cornering lamp assembly. The best way I have found to do this is to loosen the bumper to framebrackets and let the bumper assembly sag to gain clearance. If the upper bumper cover is removed to gain the clearance needed you will more than likely need to get a new cover as the nylon clips have a tendency to break during removal. Once the fender/wheelhouse assembly has been removed use a spot weld cutter to separate the wheelhouse from the old fender. Check the new fender for clearance and fit on the vehicle. Make all the needed adjustments to get the fender to fit correctly. Remove the fender and attach the wheelhouse. This should be done by spot welding. It can also be done using bolts. If using bolts place some 3M double stick weather strip adhesive tape in the seam to prevent direct contact of the parts to prevent rattles and squeaks. Drill the new fender to match the holes made by the spot weld cutter in the wheelhouse. Use stainless bolts and lock nuts so that the assembly can be services if needed. I would also recommend using Wurth Rust Inhibitor on all the seams to prevent rust and once cured it is an excellent adhesive and will reduce noise coming from moving body panels. Good Luck. It is not as bad as it sounds. Take your time and it will be worth the effort.

SOURCE: wheres the safety shut off switch for 88 ford f150

It's on the drivers side of the firewall, just above the brake pedal. You should see the red button on the inertia switch.

Have a 2010 ford ranger standard cab .the seat belt light goes off with chime, whether buckled up or not. How do I troubleshoot it.

The wire for the light is connected to a switch inside the latch side of the seat belt. It can get knocked loose if you have a lot of stuff under the seat. The switch cab go bad too. That will require replacing just the latch side of the belt, not the entire belt.

We have a 2001 V4 Ford Escape, and while driveing today the seatbelt light began to rapidly flash. The owners manual does not have any indication as to what this means, and the seatbelt for the driver was...

There is a TSB to replace chafed wires on the seat belt pretensioners. Most common cause.
Both front seats have to be removed to perform the TSB. It involves replacing the male and female connector to the seat belt buckle pretensioner. In an accident, it fires and temporarily tightens the seat belt to take up slack. I think TSB 05-17-5.

Airbag light has started flashing then came on this is the first time we have had an issue with this. after flashing the light stays on.

get the code, but my guess is it\'s the seat belt pre-tensioner connectors. There is a TSB to replace them on both seats at the same time. Not a recall so not covered under warranty. Please rate highly if this helps.

RESTRAINT SYSTEM - SAFETY BELT BUCKLE AND PRETENSIONER DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) B1877 AND/OR B1881
FORD:
2001-2004 Escape

This article supersedes TSB 04-24-4 to update the service procedure.
ISSUE:
Some 2001-2004 Escape vehicles may exhibit an intermittent air bag lamp on and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1877 and/or B1881. This may be caused by a variation in the electrical continuity between the pins of the driver and/or passenger side wiring harness and the buckle pretensioner connector. If this condition were to occur, the air bag system remains fully functional.

ACTION:
Install a replacement harness connector kit ON BOTH the driver and passenger safety belt buckle pretensioners, even if the DTC is present for only one side. The kit includes improved connector halves to replace the existing connectors on both the body harness and the safety belt buckle pretensioner.
One kit is required per side (2 kits per vehicle). Refer to the instruction sheet included in the kit for complete repair procedure.

Seatbelt on 2007 ford fusion

It is a safety latch that is doing it's job.

If you wreck the car the belt stops preventing you from hitting the dash or going through the windshield.

Try this test to make sure they work:
Get in the car and start it,

Put your foot on the brake, and put the seatbelt on -

Now yank on the shoulder part real hard if it doesn't stop immediatly you should get it replaced.
