Well there could be a number of reasons why the heater/ac isnt working lets start with the blower moter fuse, then after that check wiring to the blower motor & the connections at the blower motor itself.Check to see that you have 12 volts post back if you have any more questions

SOURCE: fan motor switch on 98 jeep cherokee only works on high

In many cases this is the result of the blower motor resistor having gone bad. They are often located in the housing that holds the blower motor but I cannot say 100% for sure with the Jeep Cherokee.

SOURCE: AIR CONDITIONER QUIT WORKING

I think the fan belt has got loosened. Tighten it. If loosening is not the problem, then the fan is stiffened up. Oil or grease the fan Bearing. Thank you.

SOURCE: the heater/air conditioner fan only

The resistor network is bad. Go to http://www.alldatadiy.com and get the subscription for your car. (About $20 for a year and completely covers your vehicle from recalls to bulletins to all types of repairs) There you can navigate to the heater electrical area and go to Diagrams/Locations and it will tell you or show you a picture of where the resistor network is, how to fix it, how much it would cost to buy the part, (cheap, by the way,) and anything else you may need to know. Makes Chilton and Haynes repair manuals obsolete.

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

The heater works but when the defrosters are

The Air conditioner compressor is seizing when the compressor clutch trys to engage. When you put on the defroster the air conditioner automatically comes on to take humidity out of air.

The right hand cooling fan is allways on when the ignition is on, even during start up in the morning. changed the teperature sending unit to the ecu,(the big plug one) and the relays in the fuse box under...

Try turning the air conditioner off. Some fans run while the air is on. Most cars are made so the air conditioner runs in most of the heater settings. The fan blows draws air through the condenser so the air conditioner will work right It changes the freon from a gas to a liquid.

Kia Rio....fan/heater not blowing air. Air conditioner/heater fan not working.

Check the fuses and relays for heater and AC. If good , a fusible link wire could have burned out.

Heater/air conditioner

check to make sure you fan is working it is usuallt either on the firewall on the passanger side under the hood. it will have a cover over it with a hose going in it. if that is not kicking on than you need to replace the fan.
