Have to what seems to be a radiator leek on passenger side right in front of rear tire. I looked underneath and saw rubber "coolant" lines right above the spring? My question is: is this part of the coolant system and how can I change this out to stop the leak? Thank you Warren

Hi, this is the heater core for your rear heater. If it's leaking from inside the box, it's likely the core is bad. Please let me know if you would like instructions for replacing the rear heater core. A new core is $92 at autozone, but I would shop around. Make sure you specify the rear or auxiliary when ordering a new new core, as the front core is different.

Hi, I've got the same problem. Is there an easy way to reach the rear heater core? I would definitely like to see your instructions for replacing the rear heater core.

These are cut and pasted from autozone.com. They are a bit abbreviated. If there are so crews visible on the panels, pry them gently and pull them straight out, as they are probably held in by spring-loaded clips. Please let me know if you get stuck or have questions.

    Removal & Installation

        Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Partially drain the cooling system into a clean container for reuse.

Remove the right rear quarter trim panel by removing or disconnecting the following:

        1st row seat

        2nd row seat, if equipped

Sliding door sill trim panel and the quarter trim bolster

        C-pillar and D-pillar trim panels

1st row seat belt anchor and the 2nd row seat anchor, if equipped

Quarter trim-to-quarter panel screws from the bolster area

Pass the 1st row seat belt through the slot in the trim panel.

Remove the quarter trim panel from the vehicle.

Remove the rear auxiliary heater hoses clamps from the rear heater core.

Remove the rear heater hoses from the rear heater core.

Remove the rear heater core-to-chassis screws.

Carefully lift the rear heater core and tubes up and out of the rear auxiliary housing.

        Refill the cooling system.

        Connect the negative battery cable.

Run the engine to normal operating temperatures; then, check the climate control operation and check for leaks.

        NOTE

If the rear heater core was emptied and not refilled, it will be
necessary to thermal cycle the vehicle twice. Run the engine until the
thermostat opens; then, turn the engine OFF and allow it to cool.

Location of heater hose on 1998 plymouth grand voyager se

The heater hoses run to the backside of the motor and connect to the heater core on more towards the drivers side of the firewall. If you have rear heat there will be two metal lines that run under the vehicle on the passenger side. Those lines will connect to two rubber hoses that are attached to the rear heater lines that make there way to the rear heater core and connect just in front of the passenger rear tire.

I just got stuck twice in two different icy parking spaced with my 2004 Trailblazer. The front tire was on dry road, and the indicator said it was in 4 hi. Why was the rear driver-side tire spinning? Is...

Unless you have a locking differential in the rear, then the drivers rear would just spin, and the passenger side rear would do nothing. Now on the front, the passenger side front is the power wheel. If the passenger side front wasn't spinning either, then you may have an actuator problem. The other problem too look into would be the TCCM (transfer case control module) could be going bad.

Low coolant

The best way to check this is with a radiator pressure tester this will allow you to pressurize the system and find out where the leak is.
