2011 c70 trunk release not unlocking. I have to manually unlock the trunk from the rear seat hidden lock, any solution before i head to the dealership? Thanks

SOLVED!!! 2011 VOLVO c70 t5 Convertible...

OMG this was bothering me for weeks! After thinking about it, I realized that it started happening (trunk wouldn't release) when I began locking the glove box. This is a safety valet feature!!! As soon as I unlocked the glove box, the trunk button worked again!

Check your fuses to the trunk lock and its power relays also check the button and wiring for opens or shorts (normally a broken wire between the button and the power lock is culprit)

I don't work on these, but , remove the rear seat, bolted in. or drill out the lock until it can be turned. Being a 98, you will still have to climb in it and release the latch by hand. And it is most likely covered. Break the cover off.

How can i open the trunk from inside a running buick regal 2011?
If that model has a fold down section of the rear seat back, the manufacturer normally installs an accessible manual boot release tab in the vicinity of the fold down seat section just inside the trunk compartment.

If there is no fold down seat in that model or no manual boot release inside the trunk area, the rear seat needs to be removed so that you can access the trunk from inside the car.

Remote control won't lock/unlock doors, but will open the trunk. What;s wrong?
There is a fuse box under the right rear seat cushion behind the driver. In that box is a 10 amp mini fuse marked "TRUNK DR RELEASE". That is the fuse that powers your remote receiver. If that fuse is good, the receiver may have failed. To remove the seat cushion, pull the front of the cushion up and then forward.

My rear folding seats wont fold down to allow me access to my trunk. i know they lock, but my owners manual is locked in the trunk and i do not know how to unlock the folding seats.
When you open the trunk, there should be a knob at the top right of the opening. Pull that and it will unlock the locking mechanism for the rear seats. I just recently figured that one out myself!

Take out rear seat and use a torch and long piece of wire to hook your keys.May have to drill hole or remove 1 rear speaker at back windscreen if fitted
