Question about 1991 Dodge Dakota
1991 4x4 3.9. i lost my headlights, tail lights, radio, brake lights, door locks, tach gauge and cluster displays "anti lock" and "brake". all fuses check out. i tried to isolate each system to find maybe a bad ground, no luck. it started intemident (i would turn lights on or hit brakes and everything would go out) now everything is completely out. please help!
It could be a blown fusible link. These are hidden in the wiring on most cars either near the battery connections, or near the starter motor. To find, use a test lamp and start at the battery and work your way along the power wires until you get t a place where there is no power. There is usually a lump or narrow spot in a wire where the link is.

SOURCE: dash warning light
on the 93 there is a problem with the abs system. there are several things that could be wrong. if i remember correctly the module is behind the passenger side kick panel. you will find a single wire coming off the module. if you ground it then turn on the key it will flash the brake lights in the dash. count the flashes this is the code for the error. it will help in the repair. as for the second truck you have a leak that needs repaired.

SOURCE: dodge dakota tranny swap
I would not do this due to your engine bay 2wd is not same as 4x4 but it can work but its very costly to mod your truck to make it work. your better off with real 4x4 truck than 2wd.
