I've owned a couple Grand Marquis, but never had this problem. Although, an Altima I once owned alarm was set-off and i didn't have the remote to turn if off. I learned you had to put the door key in the lock and turn it back and forth a couple times to shut it down. Maybe it will reset yours. Another vehicle you had to turn ignition key forward without starting the car, hold for 5-seconds turn off and then try staring. Not my best post
Engine is not FIRING? But it turns over, right? Assuming this is so, I'd run the OBD II codes first. Fuel pump operating? Can you hear it when you turn the key to `ON'? If not, there's a fuel pump reset button,I believe in the trunk(safety switch in case of collision). Post again with more info.don-ohio
no..i also have an 85 gr. marquis with the 5.0 engine... i changed the starter solenoid located next to the battery on the passenger side firewall of the car.. if it clicks then its either the solenoid or the starter..those are hard to kill cars with good grounds..check the solenoid..
