P0410 - SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) SYSTEM
P0491 - SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) SYSTEM INSUFFICIENT FLOW (BANK 1)

Secondary air injection (trademarked as Air Injection Reactor) is a process where fresh air is injected into the exhaust system to allow for a fuller combustion of exhaust gasses.

The possible causes are:
SAIR pump low or now air flow
SAIR bypass solenoid leaking/blocked or stuck open/closed
SAIR diverter valve leaking/blocked or stuck open/closed
SAIR air hose restriction
SAIR vacuum hose restriction or leaking

Check to make sure your air filter isn't dirty - and replace if needed. Otherwise I would suggest having your local trusted auto repair facility diagnose and repair the issue. A scan tool will be needed to properly diagnose the issue.

2007ford fusion code po410 and po491

The Secondary Air System pumps outside fresh air into the Exhaust System during cold engine start up. This additional air helps burn up the highly rich exhaust emissions that are produced when the engine is warming up. The Secondary Air System typically has an Air Pump and some tubes or plumbing to route the air. The system also has a solenoid and Check Valve(s) to control the air flow.

Code po491 on my 07 fusion

Code 491 is for insufficient secondary air injection flow bank one.
There is a device that pumps fresh air into the exhaust system to lower emissions. The sensor that measures air flow is telling the computer the air flow is below standard.
The system would need to be tested.

I have a 00 cadillac deville base. i have a po410 check engine code. i was wondering what is the usually fix for this

Code po410 secondary air ignition malfunction

Start up your car cold, if you don't hear a sound like a vacuum cleaner running under your car you probably need a new air pump.
First, check the maxi-fuse in the underhood fuse block for the AIR pump.
If it's blown then you need to get under the car on the driver's side.
Remove the front cover and look at the bottom cover on the air pump, if it's dislodged and full of water the pump probably sucked up some water and is no longer good. There is a bulletin out to replace the air pump and the intake duct with a redesigned part that is not so suceptible to water intrusion. Also it's possible that the connector is burnt up, I have seen some with new air pumps set codes because of a fried electrical connection.thank you and have a wonderful day

Engine code po307 AND PO410

Hey; Code 307 is a code for misfire on cylinder #7. It could be caused by bad spark plug, ignition module. If engine has a miss then I would replace the spark plug first. If that don't fix then it will require further diagnosis with a scan tool. Code PO410 is for the secondary air injection system. Make sure the vacuum hoses going to the valves on the front and rear cylinder banks are connected and the hose(s) not damaged. Also make sure the solenoid is connected both electrical and vaccum' Maybe this will help

Engine won't idle, misses and knocks, have po410 and po300 fault codes.

What type of vehicle and if you have codes the book should tell you what those codes are. look them up and well go from there.
