I have a 1994 deville concours and I am having a problem with it overheating. It has water in the oil, and smoke does come out of the exhaust pipes, but I thought that was normal if the vehicle had dual exhaust pipes. I took it to a mechanic and he told me that I have a leak in the coolant crossover. Is this normal, or does this sound like I have blown head gaskets. I have a similar issue with a 94 DeVille. Runs for a while then shuts down. Fuel pressure is good (I drove around with a pressure gauge attached and it still shut down with no drop in pressure). I've replaced the idle control and ignition module - no improvements. I too have code P012 showing which to (potentially) the crank position sensor - which I can't seem to locate. Any luck on your issue?
