1997 Hyundai Elantra - in storage over winter. Can't put into gear when running. Can put into gear when turned off - can then start, clutch depressed, can release clutch and drive but can't shift up or into neutral - no service near by - northern cottage country - must fix myself - clutch replaced about 3 years ago - worked fine last season.

clutch is not disengauging when the motor is running could have put clutch plate in wrong way do you have a good clutch pedal, did you clean of new pressure plate might have had a sticky coating on it
It might be the flywheel make sure there are no oil leaks and clutch isn't contaminated does the gearbox select gears ok when it starts to slip before you re-bleed it?
P0734=A/T 4th gear incorrect ratio. This has nothing to do with the speed sensor. If the speed sensor was faulty, it would also set OTHER gear incorrect ratio codes. My experience tells me the 4th gear incorrect ration indicates the torque converter clutch (TCC) is slipping and nothing more. Unless there was a speed sensor DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code), the sensor is not the issue (yet). The fact P0734 was set (trust the computer), the TCC is slipping (out of range). Question: Maintenance history may indicate the wrong transmission fluid may have been introduced. Hyundai's Transmission fluid is strictly SPIII... there is no substitute. The incorrect fluid will cause 4th gear slippage. Now, having said that, it doesn't mean the 4th gear (lock-up) clutch isn't worn out. Have a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician properly diagnose this issue.
do you mean it wont turn over until you push the clutch pedal in, then after several attempts it finally did turnover and run???? clutch switch may be going bad.
