Hi i have a 03 saturn vue and it 4 cyl 2.2 awd also it has a cvt transmission recently i replacesed the transmission and when i put it all together and try to start it it whould not start and also servise lit is on check engine lite is on and security lite is on and the fuel pump dont work i check all the conections and disconect the fuel pump and tried separet pasitiv and negativ it work that way i also check all the relay and fuses seems to me all fine but cant start it let me now if you can help me find the problem

Is this the 4 cylinder or the 6 cylinder model? The 4 cylinder has a notoriously troublesome Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). These mischievous little skamps like to cause mischief at just the wrong times, such as when you are on your way to work on Monday morning, or when you are in the path of a train.

Since you have no engagement into forward or reverse the drive belt has likely failed you. Replace the case half and filter, and all of your dreams will be realized.... probably..

if you cannot find a dip stick near the engine or the transmission then it will not be an open system. transmission dip sticks are coloured red/yellow and have trn on the handle. If it is a closed system then there is no way of checking unless there is a oil change done in which case the pan is removed and refitted and the correct amount of fluid is sucked back into the transmission.

First, you MUST verify if this has the CVT (continuously variable transmission) installed. If so, it requires special fluid along with anti-foam additive. Probably stocked only by the dealer. DO NOT add other transmission fluid to a CVT.

i own a 2003 vue. it happened to me and finally the tranny went. it was a sealed transmission(cvt)do you have a dipstick to check your transmission fluid.if you dont, get saturn to look at it.a new one is 6000.00.Just hope you have a warranty.

Change the oil & filter. you may have to due a second oil change after running the car if the oil still looks like a milkshake.
