My keys are locked in my trunk. My car locked automatically. I was able to break into the car but the trunk release wont work because my car thinks its under attack. As far as we have been able to figure out there isnt a way into the trunk from the inside of the car..Help ?
we were able to take my seats out, they wouldnt fold down but we had to unbolt them from the car and put them back in it was a huge hassle but worth not having to pay 100 dollars for someone to get into itwe were able to take my seats out, they wouldnt fold down but we had to unbolt them from the car and put them back in it was a huge hassle but worth not having to pay 100 dollars for someone to get into it

Usually the trunk lock mechanism draws enough voltage that it will have it's own Fuse. I would check that first before anything else. Most ALL my experience has found that the Fuse was burnt (an acceptable occurrence) usually from being harder to release from age and a need for some Lithium grease on the mechanism on the trunk assembly. I would check all the mechanical and electrical (Fuse) in the car before giving up and taking it to a shop. Many times, it can be fixed easily and more cheap than what you might think. Hope this helps.
does the key turn the trunk lock?if not theres one issue right there.the other may be that the valet lever on trunk latch assy. may have inadvertantly been engaged if deck lid was slammed closed.the release solenoid will make noise when activated by fob or lever in car but because of valet being engaged cannot release latch.does key unlock glovebox?if not this may also be a valet key cut.contact nissan dealer to cut regular key.ive seen the slamming the deck lid scenario a million times as the valet lever takes hardly any effort to engage.good luck and let me know how you make out.
the trunk release button has a little metal like a hammer that hits the trunk lock to release if bent will not open or if you disable it by pushing it down to disable trunk release button the key lock is frozen will not work even if key go's in normal. need to replace it. if u need to get in your trunk and if it is empty would be easy to do just open the middle part of the back seat panel and with a thin and sturdy stick and flash light can hit the little hammer to open it . hope it helps
1.doors will lock when you start engine,(autolock)
2.are you using service key in trunk lock? it wont go in all the way,(try another key)
3.have you tried turning key fully to the left then button release/turn key fully to right then button release,(valet lock)
Still have a problem?please feel free.....

I have the same issue (battery is completely dead in my 1998 Mercedes C280 and I can't pop open the trunk). I looked under the hood and have no idea where the positive charging post would be - can anyone help me find it? Thanks
