If you get the belt at the auto parts store, you should have
a diagram with it

Otherwise have a local repair shop print out the
diagram for you

I have a 2001 Renault laguna 2 1.8 16v and the timing belt has broken, it has got too many marks on the wheel so I don't know how to allign them could you please help me out?

You can google the part and it will show you what you are asking about. To my knowledge there should be a dot on the wheel for you to start from and on the belt or else it doesn't matter where you place the belt just be sure the cam gears are lined up.

How to set the twin cam ,on a renault megane 1400cc after a snapped cam belt ,i had the head repaired at a shop, have all the timing tools to refit the belt and cam,s , BUT HOW TO FIT THE CAMS IN THE RIGHT...

a renault ,real euro car this one ,no problem here at all ,bring the pistons to TDC the bring back a bit so no piston is at the top ,mark it whilst its at the top with a thin white paint mark on the sprocket ,then back it down a bit .fit head because i sure the head bolts are under the cams ,then fit cams and make sure the inlet and exhaust valves are closed on no1 .no4 should be open with the cam lobes pointing down ,now look for the timing marks, they could be a lug on the cam pointing at something or a slot on the back of the camshaft that has to horizontal with the head ,or even a hole in the front pulley that aligns with a hole indent in the head that has an 8mm bolt push in to hold gear wheel in place -then when you find the marks bring the bottom sprocket back to the mark ,the actual mark is on the flywheel as i remember a special tool with a spring loaded pin to locate flywheel is used ,the fit the belt ,seem to remember a white line here on the belt that aligns with the cams a well ?? look iam old and i forget things ,then make sure you turn engine over twice on bottom pulley with a ratchet to ensure valves clear before starting -

Changed the water pump on my 1997 passport & now the timing is off.

I assume you are talking about valve timing not igntion timing. If that is the case your water pump maybe run by the timing belt. If it is you would need to completely disassemble the timing cover and set the number one cylinder to TDC (top dead center) on the Compression stroke not the exhaust stroke. Once you do that line the timing marks up on cam gears with marks on the side of the head. Then install a new timing belt and tensioner. It is a good idea to always change the pump and belt together. I would suggest buying a manual for your specific vehicle for specific torque specs and exact locations of components and procedures.
