Vapor lock? That might happen in a diesel engine, but I have never seen that in a gas engine.
It is more likely there is something obstructing the flow of fuel from the tank to the pump. That is not a very long distance to travel considering the pump is in the tank. This "over-working" can cause the pump to draw too much power tripping relays/breakers.
Just because the pump was replaced doesn't mean it is not bad. An obstruction could have also damaged the new pump if it is not a manufacturing defect.
I do understand that Nissan parts are kind of expensive and I would have the pump replaced just on principle since it is probably still under warranty.
I have seen a few similar situation with residual gas tank contaminants (sugar) damaging pumps. (fluid pumps tend to burn up when they don't have a liquid to cool the internal components) No flow is very bad for the life of a pump.
Furthermore, if such vapor lock does exist and can easily be bled off by relieving pressure from the last injector in the series. (gasoline fuel injectors are different from diesel injectors, so trapped air is typically forced through the system without any priming necessary)

I had the same problem with My 1990 F150 300 6cylinder 4x4.....I cahnged all the same things you did, finally I sprayed a can of Gumout through the throttle body and it worked and ran great. Now I add fuel injector cleaner to the gas and a regular clean with the gumout and the problem has'nt come back. Good Luck to you and hope it works!
