Code 1309 2002 Kia .....how to solve problem and get Check engine light to stay off

It's a fault code connected with the intake manifold.

There are many possibilities for this problem.But as check engine light is ON,its good thing,get the vehicle computer scanned,the error code will lead us for further troubleshooting:

Could be a weak coil on number 4 cyl.
Switch coils between 3 and 4 and see if the code now reads #3 misfire,then you will know you need a coil.
Maybe the check engine light will stay off after the switch.

I have a 2006 kia amanti and engine light was on code said crank shaft sensor So I changed it put all together now code comes up P0320....Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit ?? rpm gauge don't work anymore

Mr friend had this same issue on an 06, since new. After many times in the shop, they replaced the entire ECM. Problem Solved. It was defective from new.

I have not heard of an oil change causing a check engine light.

A good plan is to have your Kia scanned, to see what the code is that tripped the check engine light. Most auto parts stores, such as autozone, will do this for free.
Some codes are very simple, such as a loose gas cap.

Once you find out what the code is, you can then make an educated decision on what to do.

If your check engine light is on, take the car to your local auto parts superstore and have them scan for the fault codes. Usually it is free. The fault code will tell you where to start to solve the problem. Hope this helps.

Code P0442 means Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected-(small leak). Most times that code is set if you removed the gas cap while the engine was running. If not, you could have a bad gas cap. It's minor in the grand scheme of things, but to be on the safe side, replace the gas cap, have the code cleared, and drive the car for a day or two. If the light stays off, problem solved.

that code definition is "Evap high purge flow fault". It means you may have a problem with the evaporative system. this system routes fuel fumes back to the fuel tank. If you want to try and clear this code, find the radio code for your car and then disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. Reconnect the battery and the check engine light should be out. You will then need the radio code to reset your car stereo. the check engine light may stay off if the condition was a transient one. If not, the light will come back on after you drive the car two drive cycles. That is: two starts, warm ups and shut downs. If the light returns, have a mechanic check it out.
