When I turn on the air conditioning I get a noise, when I turn it off, the noise stops. It's gotten louder the last couple of days. Every once in a while when I turn on the car, there is a noise even if the air conditioning is off, but the noise goes away within a few minutes if the A/C is off

My '06 Honda Odyssey has gotten noisy recently.

If it is filled up to the "full hot" mark then you are okay, fluid wise. It almost sounds like once it gets warmed up, it starts running better. The "growling" noise (especially when turning) could be from it not getting enough fluid. Other than that, your power steering pump maybe on its last legs, and it is taking time to warm up before it starts pumping fluid correctly. Just make sure that you power steering resevoir is completely filled to the proper mark.

Noise tahoe air conditioning

If it is affecting the engine performance, it could be a problem with the compressor.

Got very bad nock in motor all fluids and gages are good. Engine light is on

Did changing the oil cause your light to go on? You didn't say if the noise started all at once or if it has gotten louder over time.

Typically a knock not related to predetonation ("pinging") will typically come from the connection at the crankshaft to the piston connecting rod. A slapping sound may occur if the connecting rod pin is sloppy or part of a piston skirt is damaged. I had a 98 Durango but can't remember if you have hydraulic lifters. A bad lifter can also emit a knock. If you have more of a clatter check the rocker arms. It's also possible a pushrod is bent. Use a mechanics stethescope or metal rod and try to isolate the noise source. The precise location of the knocking will improve you odds of solving the problem.

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango and we have been having blinker problems too lately. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didnt, and the other day they went out completely. They have been doing this for a...

that vehicle has a desperate relay for the hazards which is why they work, you have a defective signal flasher sometimes called a signal relay, follow the noise to locate exactly where the part is, usually under driver side of dash, it is a very cheap part and easy to install.

Having a steady growl once in motion, sounds louder on the passenger side. Manual transmission - no problems (yet) with day to day running down the road. Just noise - getting louder.

hello when you are driving down the road and its making the noise slightly turn left and right if the noise changes then replace the wheel bearing if not check the axle

My power steering pump makes a growling noise even when the car is idle. The noise is louder when I turn the steering wheel. The power steering fluid has gotten low a couple of times and gets foamy.

if gets low definitely a leak foam is pump mixing fluid with air roar is pump cavitation check lines or pump for leak keep fluid at recommended level air bound unit can cause steering difficulty and or failure if need have trained mech look into problem

Loud noise in front left tire 2004 Ford Taurus SES

You mentioned the noise was from the left (drivers side) front. The compressor is on the passenger side in association with the engine compartment. Question, once the noise starts does it continue while stopped or only while moving?
