The radio will play fine and suddenly the sound will go off as well as the back lights illuminating the radio face and knobs.trying to switch from radio to cd will work but then the cd player indicates ERROR 1. When you stop and switch the car off, sometimes the audio will come back on if you restart the car.

The problem sounds like intermittent power supply. There might be an inline fuse which sometimes does cause problems. Remove the radio and check the power line to see if there is such a fuse. If so, remove and clean it with a bit of sandpaper, put it all together and see if it helps.

I believe it is the "SERVICE" light. Try this:
1. Turn the ignition all the way on.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Press in and hold the trip meter reset button.
4. Turn the ignition all the way on. I noticed the service button blinking
5. After about five seconds, turn the ignition off. Then release the trip meter reset button
6. Turn the ignition all the way on. The service light comes on and then goes off after a few seconds.

How to unlock a stuck steering lock on Toyota verso, (use box key)everything on vehicle was tested.

Hi, I seem to have the same problem with my Corolla verso 2004. The steering lock doesn't disengage and the car won't start even though the immobiliser light stops flashing. Have you managed to get it sorted?
Thanks

***** Update**** In the end I did manage to get my problem fixed. It had nothing to do with the key. The problem was a faulty connection in the immobiliser motor that sits on the steering column, It wouldn't disengage. Our mechanic checked and repaired the motor and now the car works fine. It's a very rare fault apparently.
