I just bought a 1988 Cadillac Brougham now i would like to fix a few electric things that don't work. Those are the interior lights the automatic door locks and the radio makes strange cracking noises. I don't know if that is all connected or if these are all different issues. Could it be just one fuse? Where are the fuses for these 3 things located? Are that common issues? Thanks in advance.

The cracking noise in the radio sounds like a ground wire being on loose...the interior lighjts run off a fuse located under the dash next to your hood latch

There were two cable not pluged into the back of the radio. The annoying noise is gone I can play cassettes but i still dont get any radio stations. I found a blown fuse for interior lights an cigarette lighter were im gona buy a new one. Seems like everything is fixed but...
while I was looking for the fusebox my dad said we should wash the engine so he put some stuff on there and rinsed it off with a garden hose.
Today the car didn't start! grr...
Did something get wet? What could that be?
Please asked if you need any further information.
    Thanks in advance.

How to fix the cruise control - won't hold speed!

Could be the problem; however it is more likely to be under the hood where the cruise actuator is located - check the electrical connections on the actuator and the linkage between the actuator and the accelerator lever on the engine. Also, if the cruise control uses a diaphragm to control the accelerator, it may be leaking or the vacuum line to it may have fallen off - check the vacuum at the actuator with the engine running.

Usually you can follow the hissing noise. Any noise inside the car? Near the brake pedal where the cruise cutoff vacuum switch is? If not, start at the throttle body. The main line runs from there to the vacuum storage canister. See diagram below.

I have a 1988 cadillac brougham and i cannot get my alternator to work i bought new ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY AND BATTERY KEEPS GOIN DEAD

sounds like you have a bad wire or short in the wire that runs from your battery to your alternator. you should have a connector on it which is plugging into the voltage regulator. I had the same thing happen with my 86 Camaro a few years ago

Is there are light or gauge for temp. in a 1988 Cadillac Brougham

If you do not have a guage in the instrument cluster then it is going to be a light. The light will be red or orange and shaped like a little thermostat. When you turn the key to the on position it should iluminate briefly before starting the car. If it does not then you may have bulb out in the cluster.
