Can you hear the washer pump running when you operate the washer switch? The washer pump is in the bottom (side) of the washer fluid reservoir. You should hear it running. If not, you can disconnect the wire connector at the pump and use a test light to check to see if there is power and ground at the connector when you operate the switch. If there is power and ground, replace the washer pump motor. If there is no power or ground, you most likely have a bad washer control switch. (You have to replace the entire Multifunction Switch)
If you can hear the pump running, check for washer fluid pouring on the ground. If this is the case, you have a broken hose between the washer pump and the jets that spray on your windshield.
Also note that there is no way possible that your problem could be CAUSED by a fuse!
For more information on this subject, please review this article: Where's The Fuse?
Chall5031, When you try the washer fluid you should be able to hear the pump operating. Yes, it could be caused by a fuse but sometimes the hoses will break or become disconnected. Open the hood and have someone try the washers. If you hear the pump working, look for any hose breaks or disconnections. If you dont hear the pump working then follow the hoses and find the pump. If you have a test light then test for power at the plug while someone tries to operate the washers. If you have power then the pump will have to be replaced. If you dont have power then check the fuses and wires. Ford doesn't list what fuse is for what at the fuse box so you will have to consult your owners manual for this. Good luck with this.

Their is a y connector located near the top of the firewall and where the hood meets it also pumps fluid to your rear wiper system.You need 2 people to figure where the leak or hose has broken or bein disconnected This is all located on the left hand side of your rear of engine { passenger side}
My 2004 Expedition owners manual shows that the front wipers and the washer pump are on the same fuse. If your wipers work, than it is not the fuse causing the problem. Follow the previously mentioned troubleshooting.
