2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible, the Problem with the Jaguar XK8 Cars & Trucks 2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible, the right rear window will not come up once the the roof is up and latched. The window makes a noise as if it were trying to come up, the left rear window works fine. Thank You John Eberle

you jest this is a new mechanism complete and a right so and so to get too the mechanism ,best get a body shop man on this .

Ihad the same problem with my 1999 xk8.
required a transmission rebuild. cost approx.2000

window is off track or the regulator is bad, you will need to remove the panel and inspect the window and regulator, if it is the regulator you will see a loose cable. Good Luck Tim
