2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible, the right rear window will not come up once the the roof is up and latched. The window makes a noise as if it were trying to come up, the left rear window works fine.

Window is off track or the regulator is bad, you will need to remove the panel and inspect the window and regulator, if it is the regulator you will see a loose cable. Good Luck Tim

just double check that something didnt get jambed back there behind the seats and nothing is restricting it from comeing all the way up have someone control up and down then watch to see if its binding up some where this should be a smooth transaction
Hmm, you may need to get the dealer to adjust the cables. Also make sure the pump has fluid (right side trunk, behind the cover). Once the top comes down to the top of the window, you can see the device that should pull it down tight. In an emergency, there is a hex key in the right side of the trunk that you can use to manually bring that down tight. Your vehicle manual explains how to do this emergency operation.
There is a manual way to close the roof top latch.
Have a look near by the latch over the mirror and you'll find a little plastic plug to remove so to have an access to the locking key
