Have the fault codes read. Replace faulty items. Use only genuine items as non-genuine replacement are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. The engine light is telling you that the cpu has found a fault ( probably overheating) from a radiator fan not coming on. The stalling could be the cpu going into protect mode and stopping the engine
It might be the throttle positioning sensor or and idle control setting. I suspect the former as the problem. Get a repair manual to locate the sensor and replace it.
When you say "Car Stops" I'm assuming you mean stalls... First and foremost, when you put your key in the ignition and turn the ignition on, but don't start the engine, do any of the dash warning/Indicator lights come on. They should because this is how you test to see that they are working. Your check engine light should be seen at this time, and when you start the car should turn off, should you not have seen it, The light could be burned out.
As for why it stops, I'd need more info, about the car and what exactly happens when it stalls or stops. there are things you can check though, make sure battery cables are tight, because if your losing power to the spark plugs your car will stop or stall. You may even have electrical power to all dash and head lights, but if the connections are poor, not enough power is getting to the spark plugs.
If you've noticed a rough idle lately on the vehicle, it could be clogged fuel filter, I'm not sure if there is a means of timing the vehicle without special equipment, but timing could be off. ( Engine ) there's lots of possible reasons, that could cause this to happen. More info would be better!
do u have a check engine light coming on? if not the plugs are not the problem a miss will trigger a check engine/service engine soon light, most likely you have a dirty automatic idle speed control motor.
A very common for these problems is a leaking fuel pressure regulator. This leaks gas and causes extended crank times, stalling, and check engine light.
sounds like the torque converter lock up might not be disengaging. You might also want to check for engine vacuum leaks. Does engine idle smoothly when in park or nuetral ? if the idle is good I would suspect torque converter problem.
you check the gas filter when you have a bad one its run to a point the gas cant go throgh its stalls pump stop gas go back and start over again pressure push the dirt again let me no pierre
