Check engine appears on the dash board of my subaru and goes after some time .what does indicates

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
If the check engine lights appear occasionally then the engine surely needs diagnostic. I strongly suggest that you take it in to a reputable auto repair shop to have the engine scanned. This will show the trouble codes and by then you'll know what part to be replaced.

This is wiser than guessing on what parts to be replaced. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Heater in car will not work, 1990 Subaru Legacy

not sure if your controls are vacuum operated or cable, either way you need to remove the controls and inspect that hoses are not off or split, {do the **** test} and if cable is off that will be obvious what you need to do, Hope this helps, Good luck
