2003 hyundai tiburon L4....while driving one night thecar shut off. Upon restart the motor knocked and shook with little power. Restarted car next day and ran good...a couple of days later the chech engine light came on and now htere is a ticking in the motor. What could the problem be?

if this a fuel injected car just check to fuel pressure first.

SOURCE: engine skipping/misfiring, engine light flashing

Drive it into a dark place, or wait till dark. When it's running poorly, see if you can see any spark flying around. It sounds like plug wires.

It could be something as simple as a bad or loose ground wire but the hard part is finding it.

Hi There,

You will find the second fuse box on the right hand side of the steering wheel (australian - left hand side if in america) located underneath the power "mirrors" button. Follow the side power "mirrors" button down until you reach a false wall, unfasten this. another word for this is the "fascia"
