I changed the spark plugs and wires on my 2004 chevy Aveo. I forgot completely to do them one at a time so i dont know what order they are supposed to be plugged in. i've searched and searched for a diagram, but have had no luck at all. The car starts but it is stumbling and coughing and my check engine light started flashing. I've changed them in other cars before, but this time i made an error clearly!

The firing order is 1 2 3 4 with 1 being the passenger side. Aveos don't have distributors, so the other end of the wire shouldn't give you much trouble.

Cylinders are numberd across 1, 2, 3, 4 (not sure left to right or right to left). It is easy enough to find out because your spark plug wires should be numbered too (1, 2, 3, 4). the longer wire will be for the far side of the engine then set them in place from there.

Your only concern is the distributor side. Look for numbers molded into to the plastic (1, 2, 3, 4). Might need a flashlight and a small mirror. Hopefully, they are there.

Good luck.

2004 Chevy Aveo in Minor fender bender now won't start where is fuel shut off reset

Technically, you don't have one.
If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. Any applicable trouble codes?
If only a fuel issue, check voltage and ground at the fuel pump, note the wire colors, also, check the fuel pump relay.

We took off the breather cover on a 2004 chevy trailblazer and there was water in it

Sounds like you may have a bad valve cover gasket. same thing was happening on my wife's Chevy Aveo. Valve cover gasket was worn and when I replaced it and cleaned plug wells, issue was resolved. As for the breather, I really wouldn't know why there's water in there.Only thing I would suggest there is to check your antifreeze level. Is it water from the antifreeze?

I am trying to find out what the black box with four plugs next to the engine in my 2004 Chevy Aveo is? It is similar to a distributor cap but book says Aveo does not have a distributor cap?

Does it have large wires which go to the spark plugs? If so in a way it is a distributor cap but not in the same way that the old distributor caps worked. It is an electronic distributor of the spark and is triggered electronically instead of mechanically. Less chance for problems and more precise. It also makes it easier to advance spark and do other things which will get you better gas economy. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Chevy Aveo 1.6 Engine, Timing Belt Broke, Replaced,Runs Rough?

Did you have the dealer change the belt because it broke ?
If this is the case they should know if it is an interfearance engine and if it is in fact an interference engine they should have checked the valves. If you had the belt changed just because you were scared it was going to break on you then I am sure the car ran fine when you took it in.
The explanation you gave sounds to me like they have the belt a tooth off and they need to re do it because the timing is out.
I hope this helps
