the pump is on the lower right side behind your front bumper cover-jack up the car-put jack stands under the jacking points and look up in front of the right wheel-it plugs into a rubber gasket in the tank-when you pull it out of the tank the fluid will pour out so have a bucket standing by-cheers Denny

My truck is overheating and is leaking water under the engine block

Hi Friend:

1st thing you'll need to do is Re-fill your Radiator and use a Cooling Sytem Pressure Tester goes on where your Radiator Caps At. Pump it up match the Pressure that your Radiator Cap is (Specifications) 16 Lbs.

2nd) You'll probally need to Jack the Front End Up,And Secure it with Good Jack Stands:(Make sure its Safely Secured:

3rd) With a Good Light ,Drop light the Best Crawl under the Truck and Look around to Locate your Leak:

4th) Look at ALL your Raditor Hoses and Heater Hoses.

5th) It could be a Few things, Freeze Plug You have Freeze Plugs on Front of Block ,both Sides, and in the Rear of Block :Hopefully the Leak is Not on the Very Back of Your Engine: Because down Low you have Freeze Plugs That you Can't Replace until you Pull your Transmission.

6th) Could be your Water Pump which is mounted to the Front of your Engine, Your Serpintine Belt Runs it.

7th) Heater Core ,Normally if its your Heater Core,You'll have water on the Passenger side Floor, and sometimes your Windsheild will Stay Fog up from the Steam out of the Core.

Hopefully its just a Hose or Something Minor.

Where is the fuel filter located on 1999 plymouth Grand voyager?

The Fuel Filter should be located above the Fuel Tank on the right side of the Van. You do not have to completely remove the tank, but lower the right side of the tank only.
Of Course: No Smoking or Heat Sources.
Have a Fire Extinguisher on the "ready" (within reach with the pin pulled, and nozzle pointed).
Use goggles to protect gas splash. Do in a well ventilated area.
Raise and support the rear of the Van.
Disconnect the negative side of the Battery.
Remove the Fuel Cap to relieve any pressure in the system.
Use a hydraulic jack with a flat and balanced piece of wood to support the tank while slightly lowering and raising the fuel tank.
Loosen, BUT DO NOT REMOVE the Front Strap Bolt and then the Right Side Bolts. These should be 13mm and 15mm bolts. Lower the hydraulic jack slightly to gain clear access to the fuel filter and hoses fittngs.
The fuel filter is attached to a brace with a 10-mm bolt. Disconnect the fuel hose located near the front right of the tank first.
Disconnect the two filter to pump hose lines. Take note of how these hoses are attached, you don't wnat to reverse these.
Reinstalling is reverse order of above.

Changing fuel filter .

Just did my 2002 Grand Caravan today,
The filter will come with 3-hoses attached.
Use Safety Goggles to protect eyes from gasoline splash!
1. Disconnect Negative Side of Battery.
2. Depressurize the fuel system.
3. Jack up rear of vehicle. Use Jack Stands to support the vehicle.
4. Chock the front wheels
5. Use Jack with wood and raise up to the fuel tank (just to meet/touch) on the right side (midway portion) of the fuel tank.
6. Loosen and Remove 15mm bolt on middle-right side fuel tank strap-to-body.
7. Loosen and Remove 15mm bolt on rear-right side fuel tank strap-to-body.
8. Loosen and Remove the front 13mm bolt on the front fuel tank strap-to-body.
9. Slightly lower the jack - the right of the tank should begin to drop down 3-4 inches. NOT TOO MUCH: there is wiring connections you may damage!
10: Disconnect the body to fuel tank strap ground from the body.
11. On electrical connections:
a. Slide: Push/Pull back red connector lock.
b. Push on top of release.
c. Pull off the connector.
12. There are three fuel connections/hoses.
a. One on right side - towards the front.
b Two on the top of the tank on the pump. Note how far these are down on the white tubing connections.
13. The fuel connectors are quick connect type. At the top of the connectors are colored protruding tabs. Squeeze those tabs together and pull hose away.
14. If the colored locks remain on the tubes (not the filter hoses) bend the wings away from the tube and this will free them from the tubes.
154 The Filter is connected with a 10mm bolt. Unbolt and remove filter and hoses

When replacing: make sure you fully seat the hose connections. You should hear a click, and observe their position compared to earlier.
Before putting everything back together, reconnect the electrical switch and negative side of battery. Start van and check for leaks.

Cooling system requires burp.

A large air pocket can sometimes be tricky to get rid of. The easiest way is to jack the front end up in the air with the wheels off the ground and support with jack stands, remove the radiator cap(make sure engine is cool) and allow to sit over night in this condition. The elevated front end will allow the air pocket to move to the most highest point and then escaping out the top of the radiator, after doing this procedure make sure to inspect coolant level in radiator and overflow reservoir and top off as needed.

Removing the windshield washer reservoir in a 2002 Chrysler T&C

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the engine fresh air housing inside the engine compartment.
  3. Disconnect the washer hose at the in-line connector forward of the cowl grille so that the in-line connector remains with the washer hose from the fresh air plenum.
  4. Disconnect the washer hose from the hose clip located on the front fender side shield.
  5. Remove the filler tube screw.
  6. Hoist and support vehicle on hoist or jack stands.
  7. Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly.
  8. Disconnect the left right front wheelhouse splash shield and move aside.
  9. Drain washer fluid from the reservoir and into a suitable clean container. This can be done by disconnecting the windshield washer hose from the front (outboard) washer pump and allowing the washer fluid to drain into a container through a temporary jumper hose connected to the front washer pump.
  10. Disconnect the electrical body harness connectors to the washer pump motors and the fluid level sensor. Slide the red lock on the connector to the release position, then, depress the black tab and pull the connector off the pump or sensor.
  11. Remove the two reservoir mounting screws.
  12. Disconnect the reservoir from the body mount by raising the reservoir upward slightly and then down so that the reservoir filler neck and front washer hose pull through the opening in the front fender side shield.
INSTALLATION

  1. Push filler neck and front washer hose through the opening in the front fender side shield. Connect the reservoir to the body mount by lowering the reservoir down.
  2. Install the two reservoir mounting screws. Torque screws to 8.5 - 11.3 Nm (75 - 100 in. lbs.) .
  3. Connect the electrical body harness connectors to the washer pump motors and the fluid level sensor. Slide the red lock on the connector to the closed or locked position.
  4. Assure that washer is properly routed to prevent pinching and possible inoperative washers.
  5. Connect the left right front wheelhouse splash shield and move aside.
  6. Install the right front wheel and tire assembly.
  7. lower vehicle from hoist or jack stands.
  8. Install the filler tube screw. Torque screw to 8.5 - 11.3 Nm (75 - 100 in. lbs.) .
  9. Connect the washer hose to the hose clip located on the front fender side shield.
  10. Connect the washer hose at the in-line connector forward of the cowl grille.
  11. Install the engine fresh air housing inside the engine compartment.
  12. Connect the battery negative cable.
  13. Verify system operation.

Fuel pump removal 96 nissan quest

Replace Fuel Pump for 1997 Nissan Quest

(1) If the fuel tank has more than one third full, you need to get the gasoline out. If it has one third or less full, you can leave it in the tank. However be very careful around the working area. Make sure you have read fire precautions in a general repair book. Take the fuel pump fuse out from the fuse box near the battery. Run starter for a few seconds. This will remove the fuel pressure in the gas lines. Disconnect battery at negative terminal. Jack up the rear of the van.

(2) Remove the fuel tank protector.
19add47.jpg

(3) Disconnect fuel pipes at the front end of the fuel tank. Use short pencils and extra rubber hoses to block disconnected pipes and hoses.
59aa089.jpg There are two pipes connected to the gasoline filler at the side of the van. Disconnect only the smaller one. The larger one is flex enough for the tank to be lowered.

(4) Disconnect the electrical from this connector. Jack the rear end of the fuel tank with a car jack and a piece of 2x4. Put the wood between the jack point and the tank. Then unbolt the two bolts showing in the picture.
128654f.jpg
(5) Lower the jack after the bolts are removed. The rear end of the tank should be lowered.
667f695.jpg

de57889.jpg

(6) Disconnect fuel lines on top of the fuel pump. Reconnect each short hose back to different pipes as shown in picture to block the pipes.
585888a.jpg
(7) Loose the six mounting bolts on the fuel pump assembly. The bolts should be loosen a little at a time in multiple turns. Also detach the electrical wire holders. After all bolts are removed, carefully take the assembly out of the tank.
dceea20.jpg

(8) Remove the fuel pump from the assembly as shown in picture. Then unplug the electrical wires. Note that two connectors are in different sizes, so that you will not be able to reconnect to a wrong terminal.
1310aad.jpg
(9) Put the new pump and new filter in. Reconnect the electrical wires. If necessary use a pair of pliers to make the connectors tighter. Make sure they are not loose. Reconnect gas inlet to the pressure regulator.
08db176.jpg
(10) Use a new O ring, put back the assembly to the fuel tank. Make sure the float of the fuel level senser is free, and the assembly is at the right orientation (as shown in picture). Screw back the 6 bolts after making sure the O ring is in right place. The bolts should be tightened in turns. Do not over tighten them. Then reconnect the fuel lines and make sure every fastener is tight. Put the electrical wire into holders.
90c2053.jpg
(11) Jack up the tank and put the two mounting bolt in. (see picture in step 4). Make sure they are tightened with specific torque. Reconnect the electrical connector.

(12) Reconnect two fuel lines at the front side of the tank. Refer to the picture in step 2. Reconnect the hose to the gasoline filler. Before you have a try start, double check if all fuel lines are securely connected and tightened.

(13) Start the engine. You need to crank more than a normal start because the lines were empty. The pressure is built up in some time.

(14) If engine starts ok, turn it off. Then check under the van if there is any leakage. If everything is fine put back the tank protector. (picture in step 2).
