Passenger side leak under dash board

After a heavy rain the other afternoon the entire passenger side carpet was saturated.i peeled back the carpet and water was dripping from behind the dashboard.i dont know if it could be the windshield or the windshield wiper area above?

I have the same issue with heavy rain leading to passenger side leak. It sloshes around as I turn corners and will only come out the passenger side under the dash/glove box. I've sealed my windshied surround with silicone and it made no difference. Any ideas?

Ok take off the windshield wiper arms, then remove the plastic piece under the wipers below the windshield, there is a tray under there and some drain holes, you may have to remove some more plastic pieces once you remove the one below the windshield (some models are slightly different) clear out all the tree leaves and pine needles and such from the tray there are drain holes in the enter, and on each end push a long flexable rod down carefully or compressed air really works the best this is you problem it needs to be done every few years or more often if you park under trees.

Buick passenger side front and rear carpets soaking wet

The two most common causes are rain water leaking in or the ac drain being clogged up. I would vote for rain water if the entire carpet area is wet.
Could be coming in around the windshield, or one of the door gaskets.

With heavy rains the carpet on my passenger side front is soaked

SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS A LEAK COMING FROM SOMEWHERE! COULD BE A SOFT PLUG ON THE FIREWALL UNDER THE HOOD! IF IT IS REMOVED, WATER WILL ENTER THE CAB THERE! OR POSSSIBLY UNDER THE CAR ON PASSENGER SIDE! IF IT IS UNDERNEATH, THE TRIM, AND CARPET WILL HAVE TO BE RAISED TO REPLACE THE PLUG FROM UNDER THE CARPET!

My passenger side floor is saturated with water when it rains. When I make right turn I hear what seems like water sloshing.

Hello,
If you can smell a little bit of a sweet smell from the water on the passenger side floor, or if it has an oily film to it, you may have a leaking heater core.

They usually leak on the passenger side floor, and that might explain why you hear water sloshing around.

If you can run the engine for about 5 minutes and then turn your heater on. Look under the dash in the area where the dash meets the floor board and see if you can see anything leaking.

I hope this helps you.

My floor boards in my Cavalier are Soaked ..

If you've been using your air conditioner during this time, and it hasn't rained at all, then the small drain at the bottom of the a/c evaporator core may be plugged. When you use the a/c to cool the car the evaporator coil [located next to the heater core in the ductwork under the dash] is very cold and moisture from the hot humid air condenses on it as a result. This condensation dribbles down the core and accumulates in the plastic housing under it where it should then drain out a small hole and drip onto the ground. If the small drain gets plugged, which happens quite often, then the water fills up the housing until it overflows and then runs out and soaks the carpet on the front passenger side. The drain is located on the engine side of the firewall, passenger side, down low where the firewall begins to curve under. Usually a puff of air will clear the clog and the drain will work fine again. If the carpet is really wet it would be a good idea to remove it and get everything dry again as it tends to get pretty smelly if left wet. One last note: usually a leaky a/c unit will only make the passenger side carpet wet unless it's been leaking for a long time while a leaky windshield seal can make both sides wet depending on where it is leaking. Good luck, hope this helps you out!

Water is saturating my passenger side floorboard in my 2002 Tahoe. I've had a mechanic look at it and he check the normal compressor drain valve and blew it out, although my floorboard continues to get...

It may be a heater core. i say "may" only because im not sure if yours is located there. but this is something i have run into. look under the hood passenger side fire wall. look for two water lines going into the firewall. this will tell you where your heater core is located. should be passenger side, under the dash.
hope this helps.

Heavy rain leds to water on drivers side floor

you might want to peel the carpet back and check for hole in the floor board. this is not something you can see just by crawling under to look at. Light has to pass through. Carpet pulls up easy from under the pedals, remove thebottom of the door jam like four screws and then you will know for sure.

When it rains the driver and passenger side floor

If you are sure it's not the door seals, I would take it back to whoever replaced the windshield.

Water leaking into KH laser Hatchback

It could be coming in through the rear door as the rubber might not be sealing properly the easiest way to find the leak is to remove your seats and carpet sit inside get someone to squirt the car round the doors and windscreen air vents.

Water leak on the passenger rug

You may have a buildup of A/C condensate water in the A/C cooler box. Start the car up, and run the A/C; you should start to see water dripping out from under the car onto the street. If not, the A/C condensate tube may be blocked or dislodged from the A/C box. The water then leaks out of the box onto your floor. The drain is on the pass side, under the dash, close to the center console. The pipe goes thru the body. This is a very common issue.
