The picture of the PCV valve location was useful, but the way to pull it up is not easy. I broke mine. just to let you know how hard it is.

Where is the PCV Valve for a 2002 Toyota Avalon, 3 liter, 6 cylinder engine located?

Two common places to find the pcv valve is the intake manifold or the cam cover. There have been engines, principally Ford, where it has been located directly in the crankcase.

Regardless of the location there will be a hose connecting the intake manifold to usually the cam or rocker cover with the valve found at one end or the other.

Location of pcv on v6?

All PCV Valves are on the valve cover

They NEVER need replacing

Look at one,why would you change it?

They have no effect on anything, engine
performance etc

They only regulate crankcase evacuation

Change spark plugs 1 and 3

If you do not change them all later you will have a misfire in 2,4,5,6.
the back plugs are a little difficult, remove the PCV valve and hose and that is all the room that you are going to get.
If you have the time you may want to remove the intake, then you need a intake gasket also.

2001 Toyota Avalon quits when at idle

Just had the same problem on the 2002 Avalon. Pulled the throttle body off and removed and cleaned the Idle mixture control valve which was caked in deposits. Runs like new now. About 2 hours of work or less. Common problem with this model I heard. Hope this helps. Some one gave me this info over a year ago and I finally got around to doing it.

    Pcv valve

It may be that the rubber grommet that the PCV valve plugs in to is aged and brittle, preventing the collar on the PCV valve from coming through. You may need to remove both the valve and the grommet and purchase a replacement grommet that is more pliable and allows the valve to be mounted more easily.
