I believe your talkng about an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) plate. This is a ported plate that allow exaust gasses to be recirculated back into the intake stream. Attached to it is the EGR valve itself. Here is a pic diagram showing the assembly. The plate is listed here as a carburator spacer.

Thank you very much. Our carburetor set up is for a 2 bolt pattern not a 4 bolt. We assume that since you show a plate with a 4 bolt pattern that there must be one for the 2 bolt pattern. Do you have any information on the 2 bolt pattern plate? We do know that the 2 bolt plate has a rubber hose going off of it.

Hmmm, I don't know of a EGR plate that has only the two bolts that hold the carburator down. But, I do remember seeing some with a vaccume adapter plate that had the provision for a large vaccume line that feed power brakes. Does the rubber hose go to the brake power booster located behind the master cylinder?

Thank you very much. We really appreciate your efforts. The head must have been changed to something else.

I need the vacuum diagram for 1986 ford truck with a300 6cil

Short of a Haynes or Chilton repair manual for pickups covering your year's truck, I don't know if you could find a vacuum diagram easily on the internet. However a google search might give you a strand of hope. That was about the year that ford (and all of them to be sure, to some extent or another) went crazy with vacuum controlled emissions and operations. As soon as they grudgingly accepted fuel injection over carburetors as the reality, all those crazy vacuum diagrams disappeared. They met emission regulations through better computer management operations. Sigh, I'm still reliving the nightmare of electronically controlled carburetors (feedback carburetors, as your ford is called-works real good when it is working good) via my 1987 sentra with two solenoids in the carburetor for fuel-air mixture control- now I'm looking for a replacement carburetor. You would not believe the virtual array of vacuum lines on my sentra. They even included a long stack of metal tubes across the top of the engine, lol.

Anyway, by now that truck is so old, what do you need beyond the brake booster hose, the vacuum advance to the distributor, if you have a MAP sensor equipped, that is a straight manifold tap, and then a tap for the egr valve, maybe controlled by a thermal switching valve-you know, when the coolant is hot, the valve switches air, or vacuum really, to the egr valve. Your charcoal canister would have, I think, a manifold vacuum hose. I might be missing a few, but you might be able to struggle through it. If you have a working smog pump, maybe called an air pump, you will really need a vacuum diagram. There should be several older ford truck enthusiasts forums that you could join. Somebody would surely have it.

I need a wiring diagram for my heater/ac blower motor switch, the manifold is shorting out and i dont have any sort of heat in my vehicle. Its a 1982 ford fairmont, straight six 3.3.

2 possible solutions: Either pick up the Haynes manual from local parts store or Amazon.com or stop by local Ford dealer - parts dept should be able to provide or make you a copy of wiring diagram. Diagrams are getting hard to find free these days online and even harder for older cars.

I need to know what smog equipment the 1976 ford F250 had on it to pass the Ca smog requirements

None. Yes I said it right, None. Belive it or not in 1976 trucks were not required converters, air pumps and could run on leaded or unleaded gas. Man I've been doing this too long and I'm getting old.

What is the firing order for a 2006 ford tauras

Sir,
There are two firing order sequences for the FORD V-6. It depends on which engine you have. The first is 1-4-2-5-3-6. The second is
1-4-2-3-5-6. The in-line six cylinder engines use: 1-5-3-6-2-4. You should look at the intake manifold to see which firing order your car uses. The firing order is normally stamped or embossed on the top of the intake manifold.
