Sometimes there is a fuel pump reset switch that trips. It is to stop fuel pump in a crash. It is typically under the dash near glovebox. The ones I am familiar with just have a red button to push on the outside of the switch.

I have a 1984 Cadillac ELDORADO that will not start. Replaced fuel filter and fuel pump.

Are you sure it is not an electrical problem? Spray some starting fluid into the throttle body. If it starts, then it is a fuel problem. If not then you need to look at computer or sensor problems.

Where is the fuel pump on a 76 eldorado

Yours is a mechanical (rather than electrical) fuel pump.

Look at this picture:

http://www.therodshop.com/images/cadillaceldorado/eldoenginenofenders.jpg

Just to the right (in the above picture) of the crankshaft pulley (harmonic dampener) is the fuel pump (flat black body, silver top), and to the left of the steering box.

My 1984 cadi eldorado keeps dying or losing power when I first start it up. It does not die when I am driving it. I have just replaced the fuel pump and thought that it would end the problem. Is there...

I have an eldorado 1984 barritz 4.1 engine. I am no mechanic but had a similar problem and it ended up being the main head gasket bolts were loose out of spec causing loss of compression and water and oil mix. I did the work myself but it was a fight. the car runs strong and with alot of power.

Looking for the location of the fuel pump relay on a 1980 eldorado

Fuel pump operation is controlled by the fuel pump relay, located in the relay center.

The electrical protection devices are located in the convenience center, which is a swing down unit located under the instrument panel. All units are serviced by plug-in replacements.
