My zd30 has the front brakes coming on as you drive

The brakes will not come on and stay on as you drive. If that is what is happening then the issue is the front brakes pads are not releasing from the rotors after you take your foot off the brakes. This is caused by a blockage in the front flexible brake lines which will occur if the brake fluid is not kept clean and, more importantly, if the brake hoses are not replaced every 6-7 years with new ones. Typically, brake hoses will deteriorate and block up near the connection points and lock the brakes pads in position once the brakes are applied by the driver because the fluid will not flow back into the master cylinder when the brakes are released.

The only other means for the brakes to be applied (other than by the driver) is with the anti lock braking system if that system is fitted on your vehicle. However the system will not behave as you have described which I believe is caused by blocked front brake hoses due to very poor maintenance on the brake system.

Sharp left turn lose brakes and abs light comes on

check the angle of the drive way and the speed you approach it as the wheel may loose traction and stop spinning which immediately activates the ABS system to release the brake action on that wheel

Abs & brake warning lights come on. if i push the hand/emergency brake and then release it the warning lights turn off. when i ride the brake as i am coming to a stop and release the brake to drive...

{: ) Check first if your brake fluid is low. Better top it up at maximum level. Look also for possible brake fluid leaks. It can also be a fluid sensor or wheel speed sensors at fault. If the warning lights persist, I suggest a scan tool vehicle check to effectively pinpoint the main cause of the warning light issue.

Ford f250 diesel . front brakes come on when driving, don't have to use brakes. changed all calipers and hoses. if i bleed the calipers then they will start to release, sometime you can hear the brake...

sounds like a bad master cylinder, next time brakes are locking up , open bleeder screw and see if that releases brake at that wheel if it does then replace master cylinder, good luck.

04 Corolla "BRAKE" light on dash--comes on occasionally??

I wouldn't drive it... when your brake light comes on, it means there's a serious fault with your brakes. They may not engage when you brake and there won't be any further warning other than the brake light

2004 explorer brake light will blink here and there while driving

check and make sure brake fluid is full, if so then the emergency brake has a switch on it that will make the brake light come on. to check this get in vehicle and push emergency brake then release it then take your hand and wiggle the emergency brake peddle and see if the light comes on and off. if so then the peddle is not comming all the way up against the switch this may be solved by just pulling up on the peddle each time the emergency brake is released,

1995 Buick Park Ave. Brake light remains ON and chimes on driving

The problem is the car think the park brake is on (intermittently). I would check the park brake switch, perhaps it's loose, or perhaps the park brake is pushed down to the first "click" spot. Also check the wiring connection to the switch, and the wiring nearby. Good luck!

Can't get parking brake to release, does this car have a release

FROM LUSTY KID:

Some cars release the emergency brake when you put them in drive, provided you have your foot on the brake first. naturally.

The other possibility, your brake cable is rusted or corroded inside the sleeve and is jammed so it will not release. You might need to replace the whole emergency cable.
