Well in that year they used r12 refrigerant ! today they use r134a refrigerant they are not interchangable if you have already converted to r134a they you can call toyota and ask for specific amount although you really dont need to know all you need is a can of r134a with a gauge on it if it
75-80 degrees outside the pressure should be between 40-45 pounds if its 85-90 degrees between 45-50 pounds on the low side were you add it so basiclly keep adding till those pressures are reached

please do not add r134a if you have not had system converted over from r12

The high side pressure is the important gauge to watch, depending on the type car/truck depends on the high side pressure, check this site out,

How do I put freon in my car?

If your car has never had the entire a/c system replaced,it has to be done by a shop.Pre-1995 has the old R-12 freon systems.1995 and after uses R-134a freon. You cannot use one with the other. To get R-12 freon, you have to have a special permit/license to use/sell purchase or dispose of it.If your system has been replaced, just comment to this post,I will get an auto email and will tell you how.
Sorry and good luck.Greg

I need to know what type oil to put in my toyota corolla DL 1991 or DX cant remember which.

castrol 10-40 is good if you are over 150000 miles use the high milage oil
or the mobile drive clean 5000 is a little more reasonably priced and it will give you more protection cus most people dont change their oil at every 3000 miles exactly
