It is a throttle position sensor fault and is either signal or voltage correlation problem. Replacing the unit should fix the fault and if you consider your mechanic competent enough to do this then by all means give him the job.

It's a light concerning your traction control. It kicks on when a the TC detects a wheel spinning. Often times a low tire is the reason. Check and inflate all your tires and see if this fixes the problem. If not then your Traction Control could be malfunctioning.
