NEED AC HELP

Air temperature and delivery are controlled via small actuators on the heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) box located behind the dashboard. These actuators operate doors inside the HVAC box in order to channel air through different passages to achieve the desired result. A "blend" door actuator can channel air through the heater core, around the heater core or a mix of these two to achieve the desired temperature. A "mode" door actuator can direct airflow to the ducts that lead to the defrost vent, front vent, floor vent or a mix between. When a vehicle has dual climate control (where driver and passenger sides of the vehicle can have different air temperatures) there can be multiple of actuators of each type which can make diagnosis difficult. The first step would be to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from the HVAC Control Module using an advanced level scan tool; these codes help determine the location of the issue and if it's an electronic or mechanical failure. Electronic failures would include items such as HVAC control module failure, actuator circuit failure or actuator failure. Mechanical failures would include items such as actuator failure or internal HVAC box door failure. There could be cold air coming in because the air vent is not closing properly when it is suppose to close.

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

chances are they did not hook up a vacume line that goes to a actuater the opens and closes one of the vent doors under the dash you can look under there and should be able to see the two lines running down from under dash on the passenger side follow them.

I DOUBT IT IS A FUSE ,,, I WOULD SUSPECT A BLEND DOOR MOTOR PROBLEM ,, COULD EVEN BE DEBRIS ( PENCIL ,CRAYONS,ETC ) CAUSING THE BLEND NOT TO CLOSE THUS LETTING HOT AIR MIX WITH A/C AIR

It sounds like the control motor switching from hot to cold is stuck halfway in between the two temp settings. You will have to take it down and replace it, it is mounted under dash passenger side near the blower motor.

check if duct pipe is in place or blocked

there is a vent opening linkage for the top vents if you had removed panel for sterio install this linkage might have come loose or the wiren to electric relay to open top vents came loose

also vent doors on front of a/c vents are turned to the closed position

also quite possible the passenger blower motor compartment door in side the blower mode has something blocking entrance

also your truck might be equiped with a blower motor filter i read that these need to be changed out during normal filter replacements the filters for ford i didnt know they started using filters for a/c on reading this since 2000
