By holding the gas pedal all the way to the floor you are shutting off the injectors not allowing them to supply fuel, this is called clear flood mode.this indicates too much fuel supply, also with #2 cylinder flooding and gas in the oil.you may want to check the injector for this cylinder, plug, wire, you may need a tune-up.change the oil as too much can cause an explosion in the crankcase and thin the oil out so much it can cause engine problems.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

It can lead to multiple issues. If there's oil on the spark plugs then it can be caused by a worn out piston rings. You will need to have it replaced to get rid of the problem. Regarding too much fuel, it can be caused by a faulty O2 sensors which surely require replacement too.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Check and see if black smoke is coming out of the tail pipe, if so and your engine is a Vor-te you could have a leaking fuel injector or a leaking fuel pressure regulator valve, intake will have to be remove to check.

2013 avalanche 5.3 cold start engine revs up and down sometimes will not start until wide open throttle

Is the truck a E85 flex fuel vehicle? Not wanting to start sometimes until you give it wide open throttle means it's getting too much fuel, wide open throttle cuts fuel injectors fuel delivery.
Clear Flood Mode
If the engine floods, clear the engine by pressing the accelerator pedal down to the floor and then crank the engine. When the TP sensor is at wide open throttle (WOT), the ECM reduces the fuel injector pulse width in order to increase the air to fuel ratio. The ECM holds this injector rate as long as the throttle stays wide open, and the engine speed is below a predetermined RPM. If the throttle is not held wide open, the ECM returns to the starting mode.

Do you have a scan tool that can look at live data, fuel trims? Is the ECM adding fuel or taking fuel away. Mass air flow sensor data etc... Flex fuel calibrations may need to be reset .

Car runs very rough, like it wants to stall,no acceleration

Sorry, but that is a wide open question for which there is no single answer. There are a lot of things that can cause what you are describing. It could be anything from needing a simple tune up to major engine problems or even a clogged-up exhaust.

95 chevy 1500 pops and backfires doesn't want to shift into overdrive when cold when it does the truck runs real rough

Have you checked the fuel pressure under a load, low pressure will cause these symptoms. The test port is on the top of the engine in the fuel supply rail to the fuel injectors, the fuel pressure test port looks like a large tire fill valve. You will need a fuel pressure test gauge to do this test (about $20), the pressure must be watched while you accelerate, it should never go down on hard acceleration just up about 6-8 PSI

Intermittent problem. Truck ran fine one day and barely ran the next time I started it. Runs incredibly rough like it's missing but not like a consistently missfiring plug but missfiring on all plugs...

Check for sticking idle air control valve and stuck open EGR valve. Both are common causes for very rough engine operation due to fuel-air ratio being too far off. Also check for large vacuum leak such as from rubber hoses connecting PCV valve to intake. Feel around for squishy or oily rubber which would indicate a leaking hole in the rubber hoses.

Your fuel pressure regulator is probably bad. It is on the fuel rail. With engine off pull off the vacuum line on the regulator and if fuel runs out then the regulator is bad.

Accelerates rough/weak acceleration 2002Jeep GC

If you heard a hiss, that's probably what to look for. With your engine running, wiggles all your vacuum lines around, and try to find that hiss again. It will be a broken or cracked or loose vacuum line somewhere. A stethoscope, or a length of fuel hose held to your ear can sometimes help you find them.
