I have a B3000 dual sport (2002) two wheel drive, standard. The problem I'm having is when I press in the clutch the revs go up to 3000 and stay there, and also when I'm stopped in traffic the revs will climb up to 3000. It sounds like I'm trying to challenge someone to race but I'm not.

I'm not sure if it will solve anything, but try to get ur mass air flow sensor checked. That might cause it. That of like an idle control valve or Idle control sensor. whatever yours has.

Try putting the in in on position and depress accelerator pedal to floor for ree seconds three times. that should put it in learning mode however sounds more like TCM or tranny valve body.
Sounds like a clutch control problem. Did you check the fluid in the clutch master? If you get a leak and run out of fluid this will also do this. This vehicle uses DOT 4 brake fluid in the master.
Standard or Automatic ???
Standard: the clutch is slipping, Automatic: the clutches internal are slipping, did you bother to check the transmission fluid level first ?????
I have same problem with 2002 laguna. Before warning lights and revving at 2000rpm starts car feels jumpy. Have to stop, take card out of slot and back again to start without fault. Happens a few miles drive later again. Anyone got a solution?
