I believe you turn the ignition to the on position (engine not running)and fully depress the gas pedal to the floor 5 times within 10 seconds. Sometimes you have to start the procedure over if it doesn't work the first time. Make sure you smoothly press the pedal all the way down and come all the way up each time. You should then hear a audible ding letting you know it reset.

Turn of sign ''oil change required''

have you changed your oil? If its new then just reset the computer/ diagnostic screen between your RPM and Speed. Press the screen button until it reads "setup menu, Hold reset" now hold the button until the screen changes again.

press the button until screen reads "system check, hold reset"

press and hold the button. It will start a basic system check,

First check is for oil, it will read the percent of "good oil left" and say "if new, press and hold reset"

thus press and hold reset, and the computer will reset your oil life to 100%.

Just bought my Honda accord 2007 but it did not come with book. When the wrench sign on the dashboard is lit what does that mean. It also shows oil......15% does it need oil change?

The wrench on your dash board means that maintenace is required. if your oil is at 15% it is time for an oil change and the tech that changes your oil will reset the light.

Need help

I had the same problem I believe.....
Changed the spark plugs and at the same time I changed the oil & Filters, (Oil & air ). You may not need to change the air fliter, But mine needed it. With the step buttons on the overhead, I could not find any reset. (my check engine light staied on) I'm no Darn Computer geek & frustrated easly by them. LOL ....So I disconected the battery cable, ( waited 15 to 20 sec) then reconnected the cable and this resets the computer. No more worning signs.
You may just need to change the oil & filter and reset the cp. Hope this helps

After oil change the main req sign is the last one to fade

To reset go to screen where it says the oil life percentage. Have the car off but in the on position. Press the odometer button (same button to get to the oil life screen) in and hold for a while, something like 30 sec or so until it starts flashing...Then let go and push the button again and hold and after like 5 seconds i think it will then display 100% and that's it. Hope this helps you, good luck!

How do you reset the oil change required sign that comes up on then information display of a 2002 mountaneer. It has had an oil change but they failed to reset it.

Hi,
Hold the reset button in for 5 seconds.

You should then get a message the the "oil" life is 100% or the oil change required light will go out.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck.
