Yes happens all the time.  I've had to replace mine like many other vette owners.  Order it from gmpartsdirect.com and search vette forums for how to replace hazard switch.  You should find the directions on how to replace it without taking apart the whole dash.  Not very diffiecult.

1987. Why is there no power at the turn signal cam?

Do you have brake and parkng lights? The turnsignal switch on the column is just designed to relay a path to the flasher and then it is designed to interupt the brake and some of the parking lights lights, which cause the flashing on and off. Double check fuses double check bulb socks and bulbs for good contacts. Does the 4 ways work? If the lights all flash then locate the turn signal flasher and switch with emergency flasher if possible to rule out relay. If those are all good and the emergency flasher lights work and bulbs, then you would have a problem with the turn signal switch. Hope this all helps

When i turn the signal lights for left or right turn the emergency flasher start flashing all four turn signal lights. the emergency flashers work ok

ck your turn signal switch wiring connector because it is more than likely has been hot and melted some connections.

1970 beetle how to fix flashers

1. Do your emergency flashers work?
Check all your fuses, make sure they are getting a good contact.
If your emergency flashers work, it may be a faulty turn signal switch.
If your emergency flashers work that will eliminate the flasher. The one flasher works both turn and emergency signals.

My turn signal flashers are all out but emergency blinkers work, I replaced the flasher relay switch but it did not help

try to test turn signal switch, which its the live wire is not sending signal to the flasher.

Turning signals will work only when emergency flasher switch is set to the on position /also the emergency flashers do not work at all/

Check the flasher unit, switch the emergency flasher with signal flasher see if emergency will work. Possibly they run off same "double flasher", probably replace it.

No turn signals or emergency blinkers

Sounds like a multifunction switch, work the emergency flasher button up and down a few times, then attempt to work the turn signals if the signals work then you will need a multifunction switch.

1995 F150 the turn signals do not work, but

Look in the fuse panel and the turn signal flasher is the big round most likely yellow or silver in the corner of fuse panel. The emergency flasher is in the back side of fuse panel right directly behind the turn signal flasher.
Remove the emergency flasher and install it in place of the turn signal flasher and see if this corrects the problem and if so get a new flasher. If this does not correct it problem will most likely be the multi-function switch.

1995 GMC Jimmy signal light function not working

ASE mechanic here:
trying checking the turn signal flasher, the fuses, if all work fine, most likely cause is the multi-function switch.
