Check in Power distribution box (engine compartment) position R3 for Air Conditioning...

A blown fuse can be identified by a break in the wire. All fuses are a push fit.

In Passenger Compartment fuse box... five reserve fuses with different current ratings are attached to the inside cover of the power distribution box in case of emergency fuse replacement. Check R14 for Heater blower motor...

Position 30, 30 AMP for Heater blower motor

Flashers - REPLACEMENT

Turn Signal Flasher
(see Figure 1)

Fig. 1: The turn signal flasher is located on the multi-function switch in the steering column

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
Pull the flasher from the back of the multi-function switch.

To install:

Install a new flasher in the multi-function switch.
Install the column shrouds.
Connect the negative battery cable.

Hazard Warning Flasher

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the knee bolster panel from the underside of the driver's side of the instrument panel.
Grasp and pull the flasher from the connector located near the top of the steering column.

To install:

Install a new flasher in the connector.
Install the knee bolster panel.
Connect the negative battery cable.

In all Fords of the 90's the biggest single reason the AC compressor doesn't kick in is because the refridgerant charge has leaked out due to a defective compressor shaft seal and the "O" rings connections of the AC line seals near the conndensor.

99 ford contour gauge shows running hot. Change both sensors near thermostat and the thermostat. Flushed system and burped it. Ac or heat makes no difference. Fans seems to be working. Any ideas?

Is it ACTUALLY overheating? Check for heat at the top and bottom radiator hoses, and at both heater core hoses. If one is cold then your radiator or your heater core may be plugged and in need of a individual flush.

On my 99 ford contour.when i use my ac it has a mis.but if i dont use the ac the mis stops.and there is no blinking check engine light.can it be a load problem.thank you dennis with your feedback

Basic problem is you have a cylinder with a weak spark plug or wire and it shows up when the engine is under heavy load.
You might find a code for a cyl missfire even if the check engine light does not stay on.

On my 99 ford contour.when i use my ac the car as a miss but when i dont use the ac the miss stops.

If you have a misfire you will have a blinking check engine light in the dash, if not you just have a possible engine mount problem which causes the engine to feel rough at idle due to the load of the AC being on. let me know.
