Engine light on and burning to much gas and running very rough

Check what's called the map sensor. Advanced auto parts can help with that.

Let's fix the sticky gas pedal. Loosen the the two screws on the side of the ait cleaner, lift the front while pushing forward and the cover will come loose. Loosen the two clamps on the hose that goes to the intake and pull off. Take a bunge cord and hold the throttle wide open or have someone hold the gas pedal down to the floor. Take throttle body cleaner and spray it on a clean old sock or rag and wipe down the whole inside by the opening and the flapper valve both sides and you're done. Now take it back to the guy that replaced them and you should have a warranty. It the engine is missing you probably destroyed the converter and they are new 900 dollars and after market 250. Have the codes checked for free at the auto parts store for free. If you live in an area that has alcohol in the fuel dry gas is useless all it is is alcohol and you get 10% alcohol every time you fill up. It was different in the old days when we had pure gas

My first questions would be - is the check engine light on and is it running rough ?
The most common reason for gasoline in the oil is a leaking fuel injector or faulty fuel pressure regulator.

Check engine light on , have the vehicle check for DTC's - diagnostic trouble code's . Probably point to a fix .

the cat converter is overheating because the engine is misfiring, get it to a repair shop ASAP, I would tow it, but converter damage has already been done.

i would first change the fuel filter with it being run low in fuel it may have picked up some trash off the bottom of the tank so change the fuel filter and see if it runs better

a stuck purge control solinoid valve raw fuel is being drawn into the intake manifold, this will set a misfire code

there is a vapour purge line from the tank to a charcoal cannister. The line& cannister has been contaminated with liquid gas. When the engine attempts a normal purge from cannister it gets loaded with raw gas, causing rough running and cherck engine light. Replace cannister. Never over fill gas tank, especially on hot sunny days
