I have lost my key for my 1997 vw jetta can i get a replacement cut dealers do not have codes for 1997

if you don`t have a second key then you will have to get a locksmith to cut you a new key.the only other way is to get a new ignition key switch with a new key.

The firing order for a 1997 VW Jetta with a 2.0 liters engine is: 1 - 3 - 4 - 2 .
The number one cylinder on the cap is marked by the black dot in the picture below:

1997 Jetta GLX VR6 giving misfire codes on cylinder 1 and 6. Checked spark plug wires and they appear to be set up correctly. The diagram I've found is engin 1, 3, 5 top 2, 4, 6 bottom. Coil pack 6, 4,...

pull the multi plug connectors off the coil pack and check the connections ,and then rub the pins with a soft lead pencil and see what happens

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for yours Audi Concert radio from the car manufacturer! For Audi Concert the sequence of programming is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
3. By the #1 key you will set up the first safe code digit.
4. By the #2 key you will set up the second safe code digit.
5. By the #3 key you will set up the third safe code digit.
6. By the #4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for your VW radio from the car manufacturer! For VW radio the sequence of programming is:

Where do I find the paint code for my 1997 jetta

in the trunk under the carpet is a paper sticker about 3"square stuck to the floor on it you will find this.. lackmuster - - -(paintcode - - - )if sticker is missing try the chassis plate under the hood it is aluminium in colour.

95 jetta radio safe mode

Step 11Seek and Scan buttons Press and hold the SEEK and bottom SCAN buttons until "1000" appears, this should just be a few seconds. Step 222Release the buttons and in put the code using the radio buttons. For example if your code is 1933, press the "1" button one time, then the "2" button 9 times, the "3" button 3 times and the "4" button 3 times. Step 33Then press and hold again the SEEK and bottom SCAN until the word SAFE appears. Step 44Release the buttons and the radio should start playing.

P0103 - Mass or volume air flow circuit high input.

Symptoms: Engine stalls, running rough, excessive fuel consumption, excessive smoke from the tail pipe, check engine light on.

Possible Causes: Dirty mass air flow sensor, dirty mass air filter, mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted, mass air flow sensor electrical circuit poor connection, intake air leaks, faulty mass air flow sensor.

P0116 - Engine coolant temperature circuit range/performance.

Symptoms: Check engine light on.

Possible Causes: Low engine coolant level, ECT sensor harness open or shorted, ECT electrical circuit poor connection, faulty engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT), faulty engine coolant thermostat.
