Car shuts off when temp, gets to normal--- causes: low coolant, failing coolant temp. sensor, air in water pump, failed radiator fan, kinked heater hose, check the coolant temp. sensor first.

Hi, I have a 1998 2door accent 130i. Starting fine as usual. as warm up progresses I have what sounds like ignition missfireing until temp meter just starts to show temp increase. Then no more missing and...

yes you hit the nail right on the head there,, its the tem sensor playing you up, its telling the car's computer its warm when its still cold and it cuts back the fule like pushing in the choke,,, this causes the engine to miss fire and lack power till its warm change the sensor

Starts cold when warm shuts off

May be the fuel pump, experienced similar problems in 1995 Intrepid. When the pump warmed up, it would start to loose pressure and car would sputter and die, but would start back up. If it started it would usually begin sputtering again and eventually die.

99 hyundai accent starts sometimes. not battery

ok when the check engine light comes on that usually indicates a engine malfunction...what you can do is go to your local autozone and they can do an OBDII test for free..my bet says it is the cam or crank sensor.. DO NOT SHUT THE CAR OFF AT AUTOZONE..LOL
