I just changed my battery on 2005 suburban and now my driver side blows cool air like it is supposed to but the passenger side is blowing hot air. please help
On most climate control systems you must have the ignition switch in the on position when you put the battery cables back on the battery. Then let the car sit for about 1 minute for reset. Put the neg cable on first then the pos cable on last .This should do it
good luck
WOW, works great but you do have to connect the neg lead first then the positive as shown, I tried it the other way and it only changed the side the hot air was blowing out of.
thanks
Try to play with your controls...
put it on heater mode then after 2 mins, put it back to ac mode and observe..
the flaps sometimes stuck to its position and by putting it back and forst would unstuck and it and might work again .
cheers,

If you touched any of the A/C controls within 45 seconds of starting your Suburban (after the battery change), you messed up the 'calibration mode' of the HVAC.
Pull the HVAC fuse (10amp) under the hood, and pull the two adjacent fuses (30 and 10amp) under the dash listed as 'climate control' in the manual.
Push the fuses back in, restart your car, but DONT TOUCH ANY of the A/C controls for 90 seconds.
I bet the A/C starts working again normally.

Thanks for the information, it worked like a champ and it saved me from having to pay the dealer to tell me something like we do not know what it is but for more fees we can one item at a time and charge you for each.

I just installed a new battery in my Suburban and the driver's side air conditioner is blowing hot air while the passenger side is normal cold. I tried the suggested fix and so far it seems ok. I will let you know if it acts up again. I was able to temporarily fix it by shutting off the ignition and re-starting, but it would do it again.
I INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY IN MY 2005 SUBURBAN, NOW THE DRIVER SIDE A/C BLOWS COLD AND THE PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS HOT.
I HAVE A 2004 SUBURBAN WILL NOT ADJUST FROM COLD AIR TO HOT AIR. ENGINE GETS HOT BUT HEATER WANT
