Loss of speed power and acceleration. Maximum revs at full throttle 3000rpm. No kick down. Seems the engine wants to die but doesnt do so.

Hello. First check any pipes on the engine has not come of and listen for any hissing noises as it could be too much air getting into the system. It is also worth checking the crank sensor and volvo do have problems with the EGR valves.

My dacia sandero when i change gear the revs dont die down as if the accelarator is sticking but it isnt?

  1. Worn clutch: If the clutch is worn, it may not be disengaging properly when you change gears, causing the engine to continue to rev as if you were still accelerating. This can also cause difficulty shifting gears or a slipping feeling when accelerating.
  2. Dirty or faulty throttle body: The throttle body controls the amount of air entering the engine and adjusts the idle speed. If it's dirty or faulty, it may not be closing properly after you release the accelerator pedal, causing the engine to continue to rev.
  3. Vacuum leak: A vacuum leak can cause the engine to rev excessively or idle roughly. The leak can be caused by a cracked or disconnected vacuum hose, or a malfunctioning intake manifold gasket.
  4. Faulty idle air control valve: The idle air control valve regulates the engine's idle speed. If it's faulty, it may not be closing properly after you release the accelerator pedal, causing the engine to continue to rev.

94 blazer 1500 starts idles or rev to 5000 when in park or neutral. in drive idles ok but stumbles and dies when you accelerate under load.it takes awhile to reach 75 mphd it will kick down to climb a hill...

You either have a defective idle speed control valve or you have a huge vacuum leak on the engine like an intake manifold or warped throttle valve or throttle bore opening around the throttle valve, I have seen both...

2006 Saturn vue, 4 cylinder. Ran out of gas, couple gallons put in, ran fine. Went to gas station filled up full. Driving home, noticed my reduced power indicator flashed a few times on then off. Once...

reduced power , electronic throttle control problem . Reduced Engine Power Mode
When the ECM detects a condition with the TAC system, the ECM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
• Acceleration limiting--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the vehicle acceleration is limited.
• Limited throttle mode--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the maximum throttle opening is limited.
• Throttle default mode--The ECM will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.
• Forced idle mode--The ECM will perform the following actions:
- Limit engine speed to idle by positioning the throttle position, or by controlling the fuel and spark if the throttle is turned off.
- Ignore the accelerator pedal input.
• Engine shutdown mode--The ECM will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

P1613 fault code & engine will not rev over 3000 rpm when you get to 3000rpm it then fluctutated between 2500 rpm & 3000 rpm causing the car to buckaroo

Crank sensor or engine speed sensor is faulty.

Fault:
Irregular power loss on accelerating
The speed of the engine is limited till 2500rpm
Frequent loss of crankshaft position sensor signal

Cause:
It is caused due to leaking from thermostat housing into crankshaft position sensor harness multi-plug

Remedy:
Check and clean the crankshaft position sensor harness multi-plug contacts. Rectify the engine coolant leak from the thermostat housing if found. Take a note of the engine coolant level and monitor it for changes, showing a leak is indeed occurring.

1993 Lexus Ls400 loss of power a 2500-3000rpm when you accelerate hard on the gas pedel, however if you press down on the gas pedal slowly the power will increase all the way up to 6000rps with no power...

It sounds like a fuel delivery issue so it could be many things such as low fuel pressure from the pump, clogged or partially pluged fuel filter, a malfunctioning throttle posisitioning sensor (if you have a check engine light on) or if its turbo it could be turbo lag etc.

Power loss at 80mph

Fuel problem or the ECM and or chip has a 80mph limiter. Or your really winding out the engine, in which case, by the time you read this it will be too late.
